The first day I took it, it was a single pill twice a day. Hopefully interesting story…
I was driving up the 404 (for those in Toronto) on the way to a meeting with a vendor. I (was) a Starbucks fiend and took a pill at the same time I was half way through a Grande Mild brew. Good god, I was ready to jump out of my seat. I had to focus on keeping a calm composure on the outside while on the inside I felt like Hulk (but in a good way, energetic focused but bursting). During the meeting I had to deliberately try to speak as deliberately as possible or else I’d end up speaking a million miles an hour and looking lie a sketchy idiot. Given that the rush I got wasn’t completely uncomfortable, almost a sort of challenge to control I maintained my daily coffee drink and with similar effect (will update this thinking later on in the reply…
Anyways, I was doing a single pill twice a day for around 3 weeks or so. Came down with the flu and took time to fully recover which meant I was off it for around two weeks.
This week (starting Tuesday) I took two pills a day twice a day. That is the LAST time I intake any other caffeine while taking HOT-ROX Extreme. I was at another vendor event (sweeet no ‘hard’ work that day) and I was actually pretty uncomfortable. I bought a venti that day around 90 minutes after taking HRX. I had the coffee because the seminar was on a VERY dry topic and needed the focus and alertness. Well I got what I asked for and I really wasn’t feeling good, extremely jittery, basically like holding on while riding a roller coaster. Around 2PM I think the stim effect of both the coffee and HRX was exiting my system and I was crashing. I took two more around 3PM and my alertness came back and had a great workout later.
Ok so based on the anecdotal stuff above…
I no longer drink coffee when taking HRX, (4 days in a row, pretty pathetic I know to make a proclamation like this) so I save money on that!
I have noticed significant body composition changes in my mid section area. However my body fat measurements. I have one of those Ironman Tanita scales so I’m taking the actual measurement with a grain of salt however I figure its still useful for trending.
– In case you are interested, my BF measurments are usually; 11-12 at 6:30 am, 8.7 at 4:30 pm, 10.8 at 9:00pm.
Without taking coffee the feeling of the HRX is comfortable and very easy. I’m not jittery, I’m not edgy. I’m focused and I feel better. It’s Saturday and me and my wife usually go to starbucks with our dogs for a walk (I know i’m Starbucks whore), I don’t even feel inclined for a coffee.
FYI my breakfast is 22g of protein supp, 1 cup of blueberries, 2tbsp of milled flax and 2/3cup of oatmeal (pre cooked measure).
Now I also ordered Spike and Power Drive with my last order. Today I’m going to take Power Drive prior to some studying I’m doing and my workout immediately after. I’m staying away from Spike until my Batizado weekend (Capoeira thing).
It works for me!! I really don’t know how much is placebo versus actual but I’m going to continue to monitor.
This criteria seems to be the standard for evaluating a fat burner.
I can understand why. There are so many supplements available these days…a good proportion of which are nearly worthless. Consumers are jaded. A lot of their hard-earned has been wasted. When they finally take something that elicits a noticeable dose-dependent “response” they tend to assume that it works.
This is the reason the plethora of NO2 supplements continue to be top sellers.
Fat burners, also. There is a direct correlation between the caffeine/ma huang/guarana/etc content and how many people “swear” by its effectiveness, in my opinion. If one takes two pills and gets all jacked up…heart racing, tons of energy (physical and mental), etc…they tend to commend the supplement as being effective.
The process of lipolysis is a lot more elegant than being tweaked out of your mind for 2 hours in the morning. There are a lot more “players” involved.
You can’t judge HOT-ROX simply because you can’t “feel” it. The only way to gauge is to keep track of your diet, look in the mirror, and diligently record your body temperature.
I’ve taken it before and felt that it was an asset to losing fat. A helpful tool to be used in conjunction with a controlled diet.
I agree regarding the “feel” "Effects’ of fat burners. I believe the tapering off of the wired feeling is due to a body’s tolerance of the pills not that they have stopped working.
With that being said; I predominately use HOT-ROX for craving control. How much of my success is attributed to the 5x greater fat loss is unknown.
Disciplined diet and hard training and a SUPPLEMENT to help to keep me focused.
Heading into week 7. Went from a 40" waist to a 34.5" down from 201,204lbs to 185,187lbs.
i have been getting headaches lately at night and have been using HRX off and on for the past 3 months. I am not sure if I am just taking in too much caffeine (also take green tea + hoodia, & BCAA Boost during my workout which contains green tea). Personally, I love HRX and have noticed a considerable difference in my body comp since I began using it. Any thoughts on the headache crap?
Just took my first pill today, as per recommendation on the pills, I took one on an empty stomach.
They smell real nice and taste great lol however i haven’t really felt anything it’s been almost two hours since i took it, tomorrow I’ll try two pills
I have only noticed this a few times in the first week of using HRX, but thereafter everything appears fine. Make sure your drinking enough water. [/quote]
oh yea, if I dont drink enough water throughout the day, i also get those throbbing headaches. probably dehydration from sweating so much, which finally kicked in for me
Never experienced the asparagus urine smell with HOT-ROX Extreme, but whenever I take an Alpha-Lipoic acid supplement it absolutely reeks. If I’m at a block of urinals other people will look at me, disgusted. It’s that bad.
I took the GNC one as well and I know their slightly different. Going by experiences, I think the one they sell here is probably more potent as a thermogenic and therefore probably has more A7-E and possibly caffeine as well.
Yesterday I downed 2 HOT-ROX with a Spike Shooter and almost felt like i was going to have a heart attack. Of course, I’m taking clenbuterol too so that might have something to do with it.
At first on HRX i really struggled, especially if a left it too long before eating some breakfast after taking them, felt nauseous and like my stomach was on fire. But i got used to taking them and got into the swing of making sure i was eating the right things at the right time round them and have seen really good results so far.
Just upped it to 2 in the mornin and 1 in the evening (so as not to disrupt my sleep). Again my bodies taken a couple of days to adjust but am flying now. Like i said i sorted my diet out a bit which could explain some of the fat loss but it wasn’t awful before so i think is safe to say that the HRX has something to do wit it. Also doesn’t seemed to have slowed my strength and size gains too, that i have experienced before when just dieting down.

This very clearly goes directly against the label warnings of both products. It would obviously be best if, in the future, you avoided the combination.
