So far, not too bad. Hunger was an issue at first and weak feeling at times.
The results are great so far for only 2 weeks, definitely noticing I am getting leaner.
Tomorrow is my refeed day and I can’t wait. I was tempted to hold it off till Thursday so I could indulge on Thanksgiving. I wanted to attempt this diet and especially during the holiday season to really challenge myself.
I’m probably going to have some mashed potatoes (love them) on Thanksgiving, but not going to go overboard.
For tomorrow I have planned some oatemal with Metabolic Drive and PB in the morning, then Pizza, Ben n Jerrys, and chocolate chip cookies during the Skins game. Maybe a couple beers as well.
I had my body fat tested via a Bod Pod on the 1st Day of the diet and did skinfold measurements 3 days in. I had originally planned the diet for only 6 weeks, but I open to doing it longer if the results will be worth it, without sacrificing too much muscle.

Dude, the standard deviation here is so large, I hope you aren’t taking any stock in the SF measures.
I did the skin fold because I can have that retested whenever I want. The Bod Pod won’t be available until Jan. 11th. I understand both devices rather well and know how to utilize the results

I did the GSD. Felt like shit, lost more muscle than fat, and won’t do it again.
But, I do terribly on low-carbs, so it might work for you.
Having tried the V-Diet, this is a cake walk. However, the 1st 2 weeks were rough till the refeed day, I was craving junk so bad. Now almost to my 2nd refeed and don’t have the cravings nearly as bad.
I did the V-Diet too back when I was a newbie. I actually got better results from it than the GSD. I just think there is a lot better way to do things…
Stuck to it pretty close, had a few slip ups over the holidays but I’m thrilled with the results.
Using the Bod Pod (for those not familiar the Bod Pod it will typically be much higher than skin fold calipers because calipers only measure subcutaneous fat)
The GSD recommends you be around 10%, fat loss is fat loss, basically that recommendation is there because there are easier ways to lose fat than the GSD when you have more.
I was doing CTs war room strategies or destroy fat, forget which.
The last 2-3 weeks I switched to a basic style BB routine, one body part/day NO cardio
Very inspiring! Please inform us how body comp changes once sitting at maintenance calories.
I was considering this diet but then was told by many about horrible lean tissue losses. This just proves it can be done!
At a lardy 23% and 210 I have recently started my own fat loss journey.

Due to an eratic calorific intake/low activity level prior to this I am spending the first two weeks eating at a calculated maintenance… I plan to then drop calories to 5-10% below maintenance… up to 15% if necessary but I would prefer not to go this low.
