Awesome photo of you, your FIL and your son! Did your son go with you guys? The hotel and town sounds like places I used to occasionally find myself in when traveling cross country. It doesn’t really matter where you are, when you’ve had a long day on the road, some AC, a shower, bed and pillow are as good as gold. Hope you all enjoy your ride!

Reminds me of a motel we checked into in the middle of Vermont once. The lady that checked us in had a huge bald spot and was missing lots of teeth. But after sleeping in the car for 4 days at a music festival that AC, shower and bed were the best $50 I ever spent. ![]()
I understand this feeling completely. My ex and I did a motorcycle trip along the Texas coast many years ago. By the time we got to South Padre the storm hit. We were tent camping on this little “adventure”. The water was floating the floor of the tent. The park range refused to let us move to higher ground because that was for RVs. (I can’t even make this shit up)
After two days of the rain, wind, lightning I had enough! My ex found a sleezy spring break motel. Complete with curled linoleum floors and stalagmites/stalactites of mold everywhere. No telling when the last time the sheets were washed.

Good work in the gym and some very solid conditioning. Excellent time on the 100 flights of stairs. Can’t remember what mine was but pretty sure it was slower than yours. Way to get it done brother! Sorry for not checking in. I got my laptop out of my backpack for about 5 minutes last week, to fill out my time sheet for work. Then it went back in. Looking forward to seeing how you do this week! ![]()

My arms would be screwed. LOL. Yep, it was a great trip. We love that beach as it is very serene and tranquil. Also, there are very few condominiums. Many of the houses are 50 years old, so it reminds me of what it must have been like to go to the beach a long time ago. ![]()
Thank you Trent. The high rep BB light curls actually seem to be working. I haven’t measured but my arms do appear a little larger than they were before. I guess I will grab a measurement this week and find out if they are actually growing. LoL.

Frustrating day in the gym. This gym is to damn crowded and it seems like everyone is doing legs on Wednesday.
I am going to try to start going early morning next week and see if there is any improvement.
Drive up there. You won’t regret it.
The folks next to us were from DC. That was about a 6-7 hour drive for them (with bathroom breaks, etc.). They have been going there for 10 years.
Nice job on the leg session today. Like to see those squats in there. Hopefully they didn’t give you a lot of pain. Sorry to hear that the gym is so crowded. That’s why I haven’t been in months… I found another gym that is closer to my office. It is smaller and more of a typical gym but nowhere near as crowded. I might quit my current one and join that one.
We might give it a try one year. Our normal place we go, Santa Rosa beach Florida, has about priced me out of going there.
I am going to see what it looks like tomorrow. I got up early this morning and hit my peloton. No need to drive to the gym to do cardio.
I might go back to my old gym.
