Good looking session. That was a ton of work. I’m amazed at some of the rep ranges you are working in. Nothing less than 10. Most people might see that and think, “lighter weight, not so bad.” Nothing could be further from the truth. High volume takes a lot of conditioning and, IMO, a much greater commitment. Looking good brother.
Thank you Trent. I have been doing a mix of heavy main lifts and then lighter accessories with high volume number targets. A lot of those sets near the end that show as straight sets across have a good amount of rest pause to hit all those reps. It can’t remember being this sore in my upper body in a long time. LoL.

That’s it. Hit some deadlifts. I thought my home hexbar sucked, but my gym’s hexbar takes the cake. Most it will hold is 4 plates per side and the collars they have are too wide to fit with all 4 plates. Rep 3 I had to reset as the a plate was about to fall off the left side. Otherwise it was a good workout.
Lunch was chicken sandwiches from a place called Scoville Hot Chicken. If you have one locally you should check them out.

Watch was having a hard time finding my heart rate so I took it off to clean it and then forgot to restart the workout. Hence the gap.
It’s 52 degrees and sunny out. Going to head out with my son and go do some local geocaching.
Nice session yesterday and good looking bike ride today. Those are some insanely good numbers on hex deads. Yeah, I hear you on the plate capacity. I must have that same bar.
Luckily, I don’t have to put that many plates on nowadays. Good job on that bike ride. I’ve noticed my watch has had a hard time finding my heart beat lately too. Not sure what the deal is with that. Probably one of those Apple software updates that ended up screwing things up and not helping… That chicken sandwich looks amazing. I almost drooled on my keyboard. ![]()
Just read an article where Peloton will stop production of its bikes and treadmills because of falling demand. Gave several reason why but the main ones were “price sensitivity and declining market share”. You seem to be getting your money’s worth out of yours.
Thank you Trent. I think my hex bar will hold one more plate than the gym one. It’s nothing fancy, and I think I paid a little over a hundred bucks for it on Amazon. Of course that was pre pandemic pricing.
Sandwich was good but spicy. They sell one that is 500,000 Scoville units. A kid was eating one in the restaurant while I was there. He only took 2 to 3 bites in the 5 minutes I was there and each bite sent him to the fountain machine to refill his drink. He looked miserable. LoL.
I think they messed up and over produced them while there was a huge demand when all the gyms closed. That and some guy on a popular show died on the show riding one hurt their image.
They really are a nice substitute for a live riding cycle class. Once it warms up I will be back on my real bike though.

The Rams are basically the Yankees of Football and on paper they should win. I usually pull for the underdog, but I will give Stafford the nod this time around.
