Yeah it was kind of an arbitrary number when I first started rowing. I was able to get low 21-22 minutes when I started so set a goal to break 20 minutes. Not an easy feat for someone who really has no technique and doesn’t row often.
Dude, that was one heck of a session! 2x150 on OHP and then breaking 400 on Deads?!?!? Nice work brother! It’s a good thing it was empty in there as no one else could have gotten any lifting in with you hogging all the equipment.
Thank you! I was surprised to hit 150 for a double. I was planing on just hitting my required rep but it felt good so I said why not.
I was happy with the speed on my deads considering I really haven’t pulled any for awhile.
I felt bad because when I finished a guy that walked in with me went straight to the the rack. I thought he was waiting for me but then he started doing curls.
Seriously.
There was another rack available but it is a cage. I almost felt bad for the guy waiting to curl in the squat rack.
Well, wife got COVID for Christmas so we are all in quarantine. Found a place that does monoclonal antibody treatment and we have an appointment for tomorrow at 10:00 AM. So far I don’t have much for symptoms. My son has an upset stomach.
Hopefully we are all on the other side of it soon.
Last night was my “bad” night. My whole body was sore, felt like the flu. Fever with heavy sweating, followed by chills.
Woke up today and my body wasn’t sore, slight fever, 99.3. Finally was able to get in to Urgent Care and get a confirmed COVID positive letter. I showed up an hour and a half early and was handed number 48. The girl handing out numbers said she thought they only had 45 tests but maybe some people wouldn’t come back.
When the door opened and I got to put my name on the list it was number 40. I guess 8 people dropped out.
I was going to try to go get the regeneron from the place I took my wife but I would hate to take it from someone who needs it.
I honestly think I beat it in a day.
Here was what I did.

The betadine definitely wasn’t my idea. I heard a podcast with a Dr who recommended it, as well as finding YouTube videos of Drs doing it. Like you said, it makes sense. COVID proliferates in the nose and mouth and by doing this I am hoping to decrease the viral load.
Man, so sorry you guys had to deal with this. Glad you were able to kick it quickly, and, from what I have read, you should have better immunity now than any shot will ever give you. I may order a bottle of Betadine as it looks like everyone and their brother is catching it here. We (NC) just set our single day positive case record today…
Top things to have
Quercitin
Zinc
NAC (hard to get)
Betadine solution
325 Aspirin
Ivermectin. Look up a guy named Micheal Turner MD.
Vitamin D3
Vitamin C
Another good thing to have is source for monoclonal antibodies. With the cases surging those are hard to get. At least around here they are. Small town off the beaten path pharmacies are a good place to look.
The hospitals require a referral to get them from your Dr. My Dr wouldn’t give me a referral without seeing me. Except he didn’t have any appointments available and neither did anyone in his practice. I have people who work with me who have referrals but can’t get them from the hospitals because of shortages there.
Don’t expect the healthcare system to do much. They are overrun right now. It’s a shit show out there.
