Shamrock v. Gracie

(No, not that Shamrock v. Gracie):

Hope it turns out to be a good fight. Personally I’ll be rooting for Frank, real nice guy.

I’ll be rooting for Renzo, very personable individual who has faced some fairly steep competition(especially for a Gracie)

Should be a damn good fight. Frank is really stepping up here, fighting Baroni and Renzo a few weeks apart. I like both of them, but I’ll pull for Renzo because the guy is a true gentleman and a very good guy for the sport.

Tough Fight. I’m pulling for Renzo all the way. He’s fighting Carlos Newton very soon and then Frank soon after that. Frank is a great fighter but I just don’t like him. Renzo is a nice guy.

I’d have to pick Shamrock over Gracie. Both guys have done a lot for the sport.

I’d rather see Frank get back in the ring with Bas Rutten…but then again, Frank may not feel the same way.

Scrappy,

What do you mean by “Frank is a great fighter but I just don’t like him”? Have you met Frank? I have and he was very friendly, down to earth, and interesting to talk to.

I must admit that I haven’t met Renzo, so I can’t really say what he’s like. But I know you’ve said before that you know him pretty well.

I think that either way they’re two great fighters, who also seem to both be nice guys. If both bring their A games this should be a great fight.

Good training,

Sentoguy

That Frank Shamrock interview was too much… very funny.

What exactly is the guy’s beef with Dana White?

bump

Frank is a great guy, imo, and the global consensus is that Renzo is too.

I’m looking forward to this, but I really want to see Frank vs Phil.

I didn’t realize that Frank Shamrock was that much of a dick head. I guess you learn something new every day.

Yeah I’ve met a lot of the fighters over the years. Of course I am with Renzo so I am pulling for him. But Renzo is fighting Newton and has fought BJ Penn and other guys that I don’t dislike. Frank I found to be arrogant and I didn’t like him. But he is a talented fighter. He’s been out of it for a while so I’m not sure how good he still is but back in the day he was really good. But I’m just not a fan.

Looks like Frank is playing games with everybody:
