Second Cycle Advice/Ideas?

23 years old
175cm
Around 14% BF (awaiting DEXA Scan next week)
91kg

Basically I’m currently on PCT for my first cycle! I loved it, I went with the basic 500mg a week of Test E for 12 weeks, the gains were awesome, strength was good and got no sides, had my bloods done very regularly to keep an eye everything and they were always good :blush:

I’m just reading and researching into a single compound that I could add in next cycle; I thought I’d ask here as everyone is very cluey and passes good advice! I know multiple compounds as I really like to read and research to build knowledge on all things bodybuilding but my problem is that I’m not sure what something “basic” or what I should even be considering using on a second cycle :blush:

A “gym bro” suggested Anavar, Dbol or anadrol. But that doesn’t mean I’m just going to choose which one suits me and chuck it in my body haha. If I’m doing this, I’m going to do it properly.

Having run DBol with test for my 2nd cycle, and just starting anavar on my current 3rd cycle, I’d hands down say anavar. Only a week in, but feel absolutely amazing. Excited to see what progress I make, but feeling alone, it’s quite nice.

I’m sure more guys will comment who have run several others and with more experience.

If you made gains you are happy with, why do you think it wouldn’t work again?

I’m not sure why everyone thinks they need to keep adding more each cycle.

Implement markers into your training like body part measurements and strength testing. This way you can gauge when you actually need to make an increase in dosage. If you constantly add more gear to each cycle, eventually you’ll come to a dosage where risk will outweigh the reward.

Slow and steady wins the race. Always have a good reason for doing something, not because you assume something.

Run the 500 again. Is it boring? Depends…what do you want more? Size and strength or to tell everyone how you’re running more stuff?

I do think it will work again :slight_smile: I also think though that just 1 extra compound to help increase size further to the Test E.

I’m not going to get to third cycle and be like “right one more compound” then next one “one more compound”. I’ve got a coach ect, I do weekly checkins, measurements and training tweaks so all good in that department.

As I said in the original post, just looking for some advice on what I should/could add if any, I don’t mean I’m going to 100% add something just mean I’m looking at options :blush: it seems your main advice is possibly just stick with the Test E which is completely fine and taken in.

Haha funny, don’t know why you’d think that maybe I want to implement more to just tell people I do more; pretty unfair assumption tbh haha.

You can try NPP just do the research behind it first. It works pretty good as a fat burning bulker. Im using that right now and I love it

You’d have to be around here long enough to recognize the narrative. It’s a fair assumption being you’re already looking into adding another compound thinking you’ve gotten all you need out of just running test.

Just to give you an example:

A friend I lift with ran his first cycle of 500 test e for 16 weeks. Went from 165lbs to a high of 190 averaging around 185. All his lifts went up significantly especially his deadlift(545 to 600). He took almost a year off from gear, lost everything he gained and began his second cycle at the same dose and same time on. Gained it all back again. He’s 28 yrs old.

The point is: Test is king for a reason. It’s the best bang for your buck. Why put your body thru more stuff than it needs? Once you start adding compounds and upping dosages its difficult to go backwards and gain anything.

Start slow and build over time. Get everything you can from that 500 every time you cycle. If you run a 500 cycle again and only gain a little from it as long as diet and rest are good, then and only then add another compound at a reasonable dose.

Take it for what its worth but if you decide to load up another compound on your second cycle, I know in the long run the gear will not have the same effect it once did at those lower doses. You’re gonna need more and more to gain.
