Sitting at work just waiting for the next arrival… Nearly forgot about these guys

Nice work, Schmidt. I am still scared of the idea of doing all main lifts in each workout. I hurt after just one.

Your log has provided some great musical finds.

Unusual variation on the 5/3/1. Some things I probably could figure out by more study, but its easier just to ask: How far back from actual 1rm did you start your training max at? How many cycles hove you been through so far? With the 2.5kg jump each week(just looking at squats there), either you are getting stronger very quickly, or you set it way back to give room to grow. How do you decide when to go past the prescribed minimum reps? I haven’t seen the pattern yet. I’m watching with interest to see how this works for you.

No need to be afraid, just dive in head first!

I guess i started squat about 15kg from my 1RM, BP 7,5kg, for MP I just picked a starting weight I knew would keep me going for a long time. The idea was that I could focus completely on form and squat completely without using a belt.

I’m not 100% sure but I think I’m on cycle 6 or 7 and as far as squats goes I should be good for another 5 or 6 cycles at least. I do feel that I’m getting stronger but as I said, I did set myself a bit back when I started this. As far as the “rep-outs” go, the is no system to it: Except maybe for the fact the I never do it on the 5 rep days (I basically feel that it is counter productive), other than that it’s very much down to how I feel once I’m under the bar with the final set.

Right now I am considering buying a set of 250g and a set of 500g plates just to keep my bench and MP progession going longer. We’ll see what the future brings, and if I can keep it going… I just decided to crash my way down into -105kg instead of doing it nice and slow.

Felt heavy, but I’ve been low-carb since Friday and I’m down 4 or 5 kg so that wasn’t really a surprise… 1 or 2 left in the tank.

  • 1-arm seated row… 4*10 @ something

Great lifting Schmidt, your routine is pretty damn rough. Good on ya for hitting it so hard.

Thanks, it sure does!

Good job on bench pr

Hey, what’s the new training layout going to be? Nice work BTW

Thanks guys! As for the new layout, I 'm just reverting to an ordinary 5/3/1 scheme.
