Scapula Problem

can anyone help me in with this scapula of mine? what is causing it to move like this? What exercises/stretches can I do to fix it?

doesn’t really look that bad to me.

Strengthening your serratus and mid/lower traps might help I suppose.

Is it giving you any pain?

Looks like your back is pretty underdeveloped compared to the rest of your body which leads me to believe you are pushing too much and pulling too little. Do some face pulls and you will probably fix that problem up pretty quickly.

Thanks guys, Yes I’ve been pulling and doing facepulls a lot more over the past month or 2. My back seems to be getting better but not as much as I would like. I feel like when I do facepulls my shoulders arent rolling back as much as they should be which is probably because I’m really tight in the front of my shoulders and upper chest. So I’m trying to be more diligent about stretching and doing soft tissue work.

Forgot to answer to pain question…I do not have any pain in the scapula, but I do experience some pain after a chest work out, or overhead press in the shoulders, typically in the rear delts. I’m sure all this can be fixed by stretching and doing soft tissue work on the chest and front shoulders. But of course I’m one of those guys who knows how much he should be stretching, yet seems to just skip over that part in my training sessions…I’m working on this.

I’m in the process right now of starting Thibs Superhero program, but tayloring it to fit my needs, there are no pulling movements besides what you get with deadlifts, so I’m cutting the pressing movements short and adding pulling complexes to pick up the slack. I’ve been working Wendlers 5/3/1 for the last 3 months and have really brought my weights up, and I’m looking forward to being able to use some good weight (for me at least) during Thibs superhero program. I cant wait to see the change after the 6 weeks!

I put 20lbs on my frame, of some pretty solid weight from what the mirror, and all my friends and family are telling me, so I’m hopeing to show that off, plus a little more, after these next seeks weeks of complexes.
