Try to put the elbows together when the log is racked and it naturally goes back over my head. Get my stance a little closer and my toes out and I get a more vertical and stronger push.
Back got pretty tired tonight, but made it through. That SSB bar sure felt heavier than 65lbs tonight.
Swapped in Hatfields because 1) I donāt like the leg press at the gym, it doesnāt have a great range of motion and 2) Squatting more helps me squat more. But the low back does take a hit

Bench is feeling good. The extended range exercises seem to be helping. I knew the extra sets in the early movements would affect weights in the later ones, so Iām not disappointed with the dropoff.

Forgot to do these after Floor Press. Dropped weight a little because triceps had been worked already. Probably didnāt need to given how well they moved.
Iām going back to full body every training day. With my dearās health problems Iāll keep missing workouts and canāt really do this program if thatās the case. My 2nd peak wave has been totally demolished.
Working from 8ās down to 4ās by 3 sets on everything worked pretty well when I last did that. Think Iāll try starting with 12 reps down to 4ās and see how that works. Should be a good 12-15 weeks of work and I wonāt stress too much about missing workouts.
It goes by fast. One night you are chasing each other around the house when the kids are at grandma and grandpaās. And then before you know it, one night your watching Lawrence Welk reruns on PBS after all the kids are married.
Iāve had opportunities to train in the last week and havenāt taken them because weāre in the depths of winter here and I must park a tenth of a mile from the gym. Bloody cold. I think this is called ātraining friction.ā
Anyway, this wonāt do. Iām going tonight regardless of cold, potential of ice on the road or any other contrary inclination.
Hope youāre able to get in the gym tonight. Lately, Iāve been warming up in my garage (which is a tiny bit warmer than outside but still cold) and then going to the gym. That helps with the dreaded walk of misery. Ha haā¦
