Try to put the elbows together when the log is racked and it naturally goes back over my head. Get my stance a little closer and my toes out and I get a more vertical and stronger push.

Back got pretty tired tonight, but made it through. That SSB bar sure felt heavier than 65lbs tonight.

Swapped in Hatfields because 1) I don’t like the leg press at the gym, it doesn’t have a great range of motion and 2) Squatting more helps me squat more. But the low back does take a hit

Bench is feeling good. The extended range exercises seem to be helping. I knew the extra sets in the early movements would affect weights in the later ones, so I’m not disappointed with the dropoff.

Oh well, at least she’s back home for our 32nd anniversary today.

Happy anniversary. Hopefully things improve.

I’m going back to full body every training day. With my dear’s health problems I’ll keep missing workouts and can’t really do this program if that’s the case. My 2nd peak wave has been totally demolished.

Working from 8’s down to 4’s by 3 sets on everything worked pretty well when I last did that. Think I’ll try starting with 12 reps down to 4’s and see how that works. Should be a good 12-15 weeks of work and I won’t stress too much about missing workouts.

Sorry to hear about your Mrs health problems continuing. Happy anniversary though! My wife and I are only at 16 so 32 seems like a long time to me.

I’ve been digging the full body sessions ever since my work has gotten crazy. It’s about the only way to go when things get hectic.

It goes by fast. One night you are chasing each other around the house when the kids are at grandma and grandpa’s. And then before you know it, one night your watching Lawrence Welk reruns on PBS after all the kids are married.

I’ve had opportunities to train in the last week and haven’t taken them because we’re in the depths of winter here and I must park a tenth of a mile from the gym. Bloody cold. I think this is called ā€œtraining friction.ā€

Anyway, this won’t do. I’m going tonight regardless of cold, potential of ice on the road or any other contrary inclination.

Hope you’re able to get in the gym tonight. Lately, I’ve been warming up in my garage (which is a tiny bit warmer than outside but still cold) and then going to the gym. That helps with the dreaded walk of misery. Ha ha…
