I don’t know how much the handles weigh so that’s just plate weight.
Between this and front squats, that’s enough ab work.

Had to move a 22 foot long-tongue trailer (car-carrier) around by hand yesterday. Surprised I had anything left for deadlifts today.

This machine is stiffer than the one at my old gym. More friction. I suspect that if I went back to the old gym I’d be doing a fair bit more weight on these.

I’m seriously thinking of giving this program a good run but it seems it’s a bit light on direct back work.

How are you finding it at 5 weeks in?

Between the deadlifts RDLs, bent row and pulldowns there is plenty of back volume, both through active motion or stabilization.

My shirts are getting tight across my back.

My beef is that there may not be enough horizontal pressing for me.

Worked late yesterday
Absolute chaos with digestion today. Not a good idea to strain with deadlifts, so… no training.

Maybe tomorrow.

Trying to push press was worse and harder. I need to practice this for real, or I’ll keep doing the dip wrong and throwing the log out front. Had to fight it back into line 2 or three times out of the 6. Also need to keep the elbows in at the bottom. Skill is more strength.

That looked like a brutal workout. How long are these workouts running you?

This last session ran about 2-1/2 hours. Upper body is somewhat less because I recover more quickly between sets.

There’s another 3 “weeks” of base-building after this week and right now I’m not sure I can sustain it without some modification.

I figured you were into it for at least a couple of good hours. That is a hell of a workout in itself, let alone the warm up sets, which I am sure were in there too.

If you can get through it I am sure it has to bring some gains.

I think I can make it if I really get disciplined and nail down my food and sleep and pick up a little more cardio-type movement. No mile runs or anything, just more steps maybe.

The pins were set to as deep as I would front squat. I forgot to bring my squat shoes so I opted for these in place of front squats. They actually hit my quads more since I couldn’t bounce out of the hole. May keep, since I dislike front squats so very much.

Pullups

Gassing out. Need to start using intra workout carbs. Doing pullups because all the lat machines’ cables are too long and don’t permit a full stretch. Really bugs me.

Really didn’t want to do these. But they pumped up my thighs pretty good.
