Just never hear about them for some reason. I was just curious as to your thoughts on them for a off season or bulking period meals. I usually have 2 a day just for ease of access and I love them. I always use Whole Grain Bread none of the cheap shit and always get Sliced Roast Beef, Turkey, or Chicken from the Deli. Pepper Jack or Cheddar Cheeses and then top off with tomatoes and spicy mustard.
Seems like a pretty good well balanced high protein high carb meal. Can have over 100g of Protein and Carbs in two of them if you make a hefty one. Thoughts, bitches, reasons its great, or reason I’m retarded all are welcome.
If a meal choice fits all of your macro concerns, as well as fits neatly into your schedule as far as convenience factor, there’s no reason why you couldn’t, or shouldn’t eat a sandwich or two (or three) each day.
I live on sandwiches. At least 2 a day. Roasted turkey breast with swiss, tomato, and pickle. Local grocer has their own brand low carb bread that I like. 100g of protein? Dem some big sammies…
I eat a sandwich most days for my second meal. Who can or wants to constantly have a fork-and-knife meal, especially if you’re at work or on-the-go all day. I have five meals (and a PWO shake) each day. One or two is a shake or sandwich. Having a burger tonight, which is a sandwich.
I get creative with different chicken and tuna salad recipes. Experiment with different spices, veggies, fruits (craisins, apples, and grapes go good with chicken salads) and cheeses. Kirkland brand makes awesome canned chicken that goes great for chicken salad.

Sorry for the derail…Try Dickinsons jelly and you’ll never eat another pb and j without it
Yep I eat sandwiches all the time, although I don’t really like cold lunchmeat so it’s usually with cooked meats. Toast a hamburger bun and cook a couple chicken breasts with some crushed up Cheez-its as a breading, delicious and easy to fit into your macros!

Man I was afraid to look at this honestly I thought all you guys were going flame me pretty hard for some reason. Glad that my game plan is ok.
Yeah I meant 100g in 2 pretty easy. I use about 6-8oz of sliced meat 30-40g of Protein, 2oz of Cheese 10g of Protein, and most Whole Grain Breads I have found 5g per slice so 10g per sandwich there which puts you at 50g to even 60g of protein per sandwich but, yes it definitely is a bigger than normal sandwich
Wholesale food shops are great places to get cheap high quality lunchmeat, but you have to slice it yourself. For me that means Costco or Cash & Carry, not sure what stores are in your area. I also like getting tons of steak and cooking it all up, then using it for sandwiches all week, with cheese, horseradish, sometimes lettuce and onions mayo and stuff
its hard to consider their macros. They aren’t labeled from the deli and depending on processing you don’t know how much of anything you are getting. That’s my gripe.

I like sandwiches and wraps because of their portability and the fact I’m not gluten sensitive… which I think people have got all wrong…
Yes if your diet is DOMINATED by gluten, or meat, or fiber, or sugar-- there’s going to be bad side effects. Such is the human body-- we need balance and variety.
