Hey everybody,
I’m fairly new to actually attmepting to lose fat, and my girlfriend is attempting to do just that and I have put her on John Berardi’s Don’t Diet diet for the sole reason that the science behind the methodology seems valid. Anyhow, she weighs 132 pounds, 5’3, and 22% body fat. Here is a sample diet for a day that I would greatly appreciate any opinions on:
Meal 1 (P + C) = Half-cup oatmeal plus 1.5 scoops protein powder (260 calories – 4.5 fat , 30 carb , 26 protein)
Meal 2 (P + C) = Post workout shake (380 calories – 1.5 fat, 37 carb, 53 protein)
Meal 3 (P + F) = Can of Tuna plus half serving nuts( 235 calories – 9.25 fat, 3 carbs, 35 protien)
Meal 4 (P + F) = 4 egg whites w/ 3 yolks plus green vegetables(266 calories – 12 fat, 3 carb, 24 protein
Meal 5 (P + F) = turkey or chicken breast with fish/flax oil (250 calories 12 grams fat, 0 carbs, 40 protein)
Total = 1391 calories – 40 fat, 102 carb, 178 protein)
The above total is an approximation of the ratios she consumes each day. She is also taking Hot-Rox and performing meltdown training. I know 6 meals would be ideal, but I’m trying to make this as simple as possible for her with her schedule. Any opinions would be awesome.
