wa wa wee wa!
Holy shit. That’s nuts.
What is the lightest that anyone has ever been who has squatted a grand?
And look how upright his torso stays the whole time. That’s nuts.
Amazing.
That makes me think it’s reasonable that in a few years someone at 181 will hit the 1000 mark.
Also, does anyone know what gear he’s using? I’m asking purely out of curiosity. I hope nobody is offended.
Wide stance is the way to go on squats, and thats enough said.
thats crazy…anyone know this guys numbers for bench and dl
Looks like an Inzer Leviathan, a two ply canvas suit.
Point of note: he has an 1846 raw total at 220.

Depending on your federation. In the USAPL/IPF, the vast majority use a medium stance.

Looks like inzer, unless thats just a patch of sponsorship that he’s wearing.
It’s good to see guys going for big lifts and using good form. A few a while back that were supposedly “good” looked like dogs ass.
Haha - man, that is crazy, five times body weight. I guess no one is going to tell him he needs to “just fuckin’ eat” and “get fuckin’ huge”.

I think he is the lightest to squat a grand. Vogelpohl was at 220lbs when he squatted 1025 and Phil Harrington did 900 at 181.

Yep at the New England Record Breakers he totalled 1730 while squatting 705. Powerlifting today is predominantly about manipulating equipment to get the most gains. It certainly is a skill that takes training and practice, but when you get 42 percent more lift from the stored energy in your suit, I become less and less interested in it as a physical contest.
Yeah I watched Sam Byrd lift at the NERB, he’s a really nice guy cause I talked with him back-stage and got a few pics. Strong as hell. Squatting 705 raw, with a belt.
The squat was completely unreal, but I already hear people bitching about the use of the monolift…
What I want to know is how much weight is this lady moving in overhead presses?
bad ass…nuff said.
good shit
WOW! That is an amazing squat.
George
Leaving gear and monolift debates aside, that is one helluva smooth squat. Hats off.
