Why don’t I name your name? Because I don’t know your motivation in posting hundreds and hundreds of pics of yourself. Could be flirtation. Could be fun. Could be narcissism. Could be for validation. Could be for attention. DEFINITELY one or all of these or some combination of a few!
And you consider me a pussy when I answer posts directly?
You’re a pussy because, under fire, that you created yourself, you lashed out at someone else that had nothing to do with your stupid argument. AND then as if that’s not weak enough, you won’t even name the person who you are clearly describing.
That is what makes you a pussy.
If you don’t know any of the shit you just said above then why did you say anything at all? I’ll tell you why, because you were scrambling in your thread and decided to randomly fling shit at an easy target. In other words you were acting like a pussy.
Feel free to apologize. I don’t give a rat’s ass about the rest of your ravings.
Let me ask you this? Why do you need to make endless number of posts restating YOUR goals over and over again? Why do you think your self-proclaimed mediocre goals are so important that we all need to hear about them OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Is it for attention? Validation?
I swear to God the BIGGEST complainers about what they perceive my motivations to be are the most questionable motherfuckers around.
Perhaps I get a little irritated when I make a post about something, namely SACRIFICE VERSUS REWARD, a real topic that some people in life face, only to have my words turned around and have that topic turned around and renamed “The Quest for Underachieving” and “I’m a Fucking Above Average Superstar and Those Who Don’t Share My Ambitions are a Bunch of A Pee-On Losers and the World is Filled With Do-Nothing, Immoral Sloths Who are in My Way”. How’s that for irrelevance.
PLease with this melodramatic bullshit. You are just pissed no one that has made any progress agrees with you. You have a bunch of kids that fit in their sisters cloths riding your jock, get over it.
So she is right. You felt attacked, so you attacked her, for no reason. You want respect, but refuse to give it… SWEET DAWG! That is a great approach.
Keep putting down other people, yet DEMAND peopel respect you and your choices. Really comes off a wonderful personal trait.
No, you are a pussy for attacking people that had nothign to do with teh tread, your topic or ever said anythign about you, on this board and others. You run your mouth about this board endless. STFU already.
Yeah, I agree with that.
Drop the e-tough guy act kid… You posted on a public board, and aren’t happy with the responce. Now your talking about how your gonna kick people’s asses? LOL
Why the fuck, on god’s green, do you think ANYONE owes you shit?
Who the fuck are you to demand those of us with enough fucking drive to accomplish shit pander to you?

Where did I say my goals are MEDIOCRE? I actually said over and OVER again that I don’t even think of the DEGREE of the MAGNITUDE of my goals. They are MY goals and they make me rewarded and happy. I don’t contemplate a goal and then think to myself, "Is this big enough compared to someone else’s goal or another goal?! Is it mediocre, or is it extraordinary? Perhaps some of the things I’ve accomplished are pretty big. Perhaps some aren’t. In the long run, they made ME proud.
Again, misintreting my post, saying that I have my self proclaimed mediocre goals when I never even said, “I have mediocre goals”.
Once again misinterpreting my writings. Who I said I don’t have drive? Actually, I’ve become pretty hard driven in the past few years.
Where did I demand people to give me stuff?
Where did I write that people should stop trying so hard, when I’m trying hard myself?
Where did I say I’m so tough? I simply stated that people on here think they’re tough.
Actually the people who have engaged in conversation wth me on here are NOT pre-pubescent nut-huggers, with Bushido, Stronghold, Skynett, Scott, and Forbes being some of them (very put-together, stable, mature, and hardworking men, some of whom I’ve spoken to personally by voice).
The world I come from is comprised of VERY hardworking people, which is why I can’t relate to your feeling of the world being a bunch of lazy jerkoffs. So I actually apologize if I put out my skewed view in the wrong way.
So I’m also EXHORTING you and Professor X, because I don’t want to see you two “waste potential” in POLITICS because I think you two are onto something.
I want you two to write a Hitlerian proposal on how we can create a new world–a new Master Race–of physically and intellectually bionic people. Personally, I might be for it if it comes out OK (not kidding) because I do agree in soem ways that our world has deteriorated in the past century, though I’m not as condescending as some of those on here.
I also don’t know how I’ve ever been in the way of anyone because of my talk on fitness. I’ve personally exhorted on several occasions PX and Way Lander to enter shows because I think it would be a shame to waste their potential. And I’m fucking serious about that one.
Brick - give it up bro. Nice effort, but you know damn well that people percieve what you say as an attack on their goals.
Why, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a SHIT what the rest of the planet is doing. My goals are mine, and yours are yours - live and let live.
But like I said the other night - people become threatened when they feel their goals and ideals are being marginalized. Even though that’s not your intention, it only took a couple of posts for people to start bashing the shit out of you.
I understand where you’re coming from, and so do a few other people in this thread. But the vast majority just don’t want to hear about any divergent goals.
Plus it’s getting really nasty now, which always sucks. People resort to cheap shots pretty quick around here, but you certainly should be used to that by now - you’ve been here going on 10 years… : )

So all of this is one big Gripe because the OP is not allowed to have an “I Workout” section?
Just curious if you did have this what Type of Topics would you want to discuss? Serious. I get the over 35 lifter section. But are you looking for guys who Once were Big lifters and are now shifting away?
Because I’n not sure how you can help anyone that is not the above out. Your body as you said was a 245lb big guy and you are now 210 (sorry if I got that wrong).
Your body was built off of years of Heavy lifting and eating to become Yoked I’m not sure how old you are late 20’s maybe and if you have been doing this since 15 (guess) then you have been lifting heavy for 10yrs then you shifted gears.
You can’t relate to anyone who has never been there. Your bone density is difernt your body is going to react to stimulas differnt than a person who has ONLY just worked out.
I’m curious what would be your topics in this Section you want?
That would be the conclusion of that type of thinking. There is simply no need for a whole forum filled with people talking about how they are too busy to lift seriously.
There’s also nothing so e-tough about saying that many men get irritated when someone twists their words constantly. And it’s neither tough or wimpy to tell someone who’s disrespecting you (eg, butting in, not giving room to speak, constantly mincing words, put-downs, digs, etc.), “I have a problem with you!” I’ve done this on a few occasions. Definitely not the safest thing to do, because whether I were to engage in a fight and kick ass or not, I risked physical injury to myself. But I’ve done it.

Most people concerned about body composition and health lift seriously. How is attending a track, gym, fitness or yoga class, or taking part in a running club or whatever, NOT SERIOUS?!
When I rearranged my lifestyle, I asked myself, “How will I continue to lift and run and get adequate nutrition consistently while still engaging in those things that are more important to me now? How should I adjust my schedule? What kind of foods, though maybe not ideal, are easier to prepare than before, should I get?”
There are in shape guys I see in the gym 6 days per week. I consider them serious. They not be insanely muscular or strong, or eat to get big, but considering they exercise 6 times per week (some with pretty good effort), I consider them serrious.
I’m also fine if they don’t get a new forum. I suggested it, and it won’t be done. So that’s it. I’ll just keep nearly all of my posts in the nutr and supps and conditioning section.
And I of all people, who work in nutrition with education in nutrition and exercise science - why the heck would I be in someone’s way or discourage them from reaching new levels of health and fitness or muscularity or athleticism when that is what I learned to do for others? Does that make any sense?

I didn’t bash ANYONE’S goals or priorities. I simply asked, “How much sacrifice are you willing to deal with?” That question can be applied to anything big in life: relationships, money, career, bodybuilding, whatever!!!
People have sacrificed family time, dating, and health (can’t work out much with an 80-hr a week sched unless you’re a T-man) for more money.
People have put up with great distance and time away from one another to make a relationship work.
People have sacrificed money and time on education.
What the hell is wrong asking other adults how much sacrifice they’ll put forth. Oh, and this is a BB site. Maybe this relates. I saw Marc Dugdale in TEARS related to the sacrifice he has put forth in BB, only to get a smaller than expected ROI. His wife also commented on it too.
Lee Labrada once said in an interview something akin to: “I told my wife if I don’t win the Olympia by 35, I’m out.” THAT relates to sacrifice versus reward!!!
AS IF my OP was about being a lazy jerkoff who doesn’t give a shit about goals or lifting anymore and is some sort of Bolshevik-commie, resentful, ne’er-do-well. The topic is legitimate and it relates to life.

Dude, either way, no one here is clueless about the fact that sometimes, priorities change as someone gets older or as they gain more responsibility. THAT issue alone is not why this thread is getting so much flack. What is getting to people is that on a site that focuses this much on NOT being average, now we get people acting like they deserve applause for not being so serious anymore.
You don’t deserve applause…because in the context of this website, you are now going against what the rest of us work for. That is FINE for YOU, but to bring it here like we need to acknowledge it makes no sense.
If I ever quit lifting seriously, I will simply not log in here so much to discuss the aspects of serious weight lifting. What I will not do is create a whole thread about how I now don’t train so often or how I am now into bike riding or some shit.
To make real progress, you can NOT approach things like you have stated in this thread.
You are a guy who claims he weighed over 240lbs of solid weight once so your body is NOT the same at all as the people reading this who never applied themselves. Your body still has muscle memory and the ability to adapt conditioning quicker than those who never got there.
Therefore, this thread serves little purpose other than to blatantly state you don’t care as much about this anymore.

You can also indirectly hold people back by pretending as if you current state of physical being isn’t also a result of having once taken this much more seriously than you do now. Someone without that background jumping into this thinking not being serious will still allow similar results will be shit out of luck.
You changed your goals while others in this thread stated clearly that they simply don’t take this seriously…or that getting big somehow means they won’t be able to earn enough money to retire (this was actually stated right here).
