Again, all I looked at was:

  1. The bar path. The bar was moving in an arch towards your lower abs so I know you were hitting your lats.

  2. Whether you were stable while rowing so you don’t get injured.

The rest is about whether you feel the muscle working. If you don’t, bend more or bend less. I don’t care as long as you are in the best position to, again, FEEL THE MUSCLE WORKING.

What I think @dt79 is talking about is that you don’t flare at all. Flaring is necessary in the second third of the bench onwards.

Think like this:

  • first third: from on the chest to first third of the way up. Elbows tucked hard.

  • second third: second third of the way up, elbows start flaring but your shoulders have to be locked down tight still and chest high. Elbows should be pointing away from body at 45 degrees.

  • final third: locking out the arms, triceps do most of the work here. Elbows should be pointing to the sides.

somethingabout floor press makes it fun lol

It’s pretty common to floor press more than you bench. The range of motion is shorter, after all.

I’d guess your shoulder hurts because you aren’t stabilising them - you need to pull your shoulderblades together and down at the very least.
