Running & Lifting

Hello,
I want to start lifting to gain some overall size but with all these workout programs I’m not sure which I should try to follow. Actually I would just like to fill out a bit. Currently I’m 178lbs, 5’9" but I’m in the frame where I should weight, if I was 155lbs normally. So i could drop some weight and change my diet a bit.

My question is what time of lifting program or schedule should I follow to gain some muscle and fill out. At the same time I like to run. Usually about 12 miles per week.
So how do I mix running and muscle gain together?!!
Any advance or submissions I can read would be appreciated. Thanks!

There’s all sorts of opinions on this but your best option is to try it and see how you respond to it.

Find a program you like and go with it. Make sure you get plenty of food and you recover well.

Work towards getting healthy, stronger first. Worry about the size stuff later

Run 3 days and lift 3 days.

12 miles a week won’t hurt your lifting.

Work on lifting more on the basic lifts
