Runner Dies Young

I certainly hope this doesnt come across as some kind of schaden-freude over the death of a young man, but given that every tiem a strength athlete dies young fingers are pointed to performance enhancers of one sort or another, and the strain that being 300+ can put on your heart, I believe it bears mentioning that strength athletes aren’t the only ones who die young

Again, that’s not to say that performance enhancers are never
involved in the death of strength athlets, it’s not to say that
PEDs didnt play a role here, but I just thought this was worth mentioning (by the way, do a google for “dead runner” and apparently 2 runners in the most recent NYC marathon died shortly
after the race)

About every two years, one person dies running the Chicago marathon.

Kinesiology in the West has been obsessed with endurance exercise for the past 50 years or so. It’s a marked bias, of course strength training gets singled out.
