Me too. Im two days into the T-dawg, and oh god
I woke up with a headache today and cant quite seem to do anything functional. just tell me it is adjustment. Things do get better right?
ANd how do you orgnize your cheat day? All out buffet blitz or carb up with high quality carbs?

wow a headache… I’m damn glad I didn’t get any of those at all on this plan. That was my biggest fear I think, I used to intersperse my regular maintenance days with lower carb days and got headaches every single time.

Should be an adjustment, a few days and you are adapted to the change. At least that is how it worked for me when I went from normal to atkins style ultra low carbs, and this can’t possibly be as bad as that change.

Refeeds i’ve been fairly strict. Trying to do the 65%c, 25%p and 10%f on refeed. And running at 1.25x maintenance level on that day.
First time I did refeed (about 9 days into tdawg), I did have a bit of water change, about 5 pounds worth.
Second time (another 8 days later) was only a few pounds, and last few times (7 day setup) were only a 1-2 pound change with water, with the weight being back to normal after 2 days.
Fat testing levels never changed for the worse any time.

Now being a little over a month in i’m sorta feeling the need to either refeed more often than a 7 day schedule or up my total calories. I noticed a few days ago I was getting sluggish.

I’m still losing waist fat, and muscle measurements have stayed same or gone up a little.

My calipers arrived in the mail a week ago, and, after getting used to them, I pinched at 12.25% bodyfat today! Only 5.25% more to go! I’ve been on T-dawg 2.0 all this time, but I’m going to go CD from next week. I have 2 questions about CD:

  1. Should I have cheat DAYS twice a week, or cheat MEALS two nights a week?

  2. If I’m doing a big cheat meal twice a week, what foods are we talking about - healthy, whole grain pasta and the like in large quantitys, or are we talking pizza, chocolate-chip cookies and Toblerone schocolates?

As far as teh cheat stuff on CD. JM recommends that you ‘cheat’ 1.5 out of every 4 days. Of course, this immediately follows your EDT lift.
As far as what to eat, he says to go with lots and lots of high GI carbs, like pastas, potates, low fat cereal, breads, low fat chips. Eat shit loads of protein, and make your fat intake what you naturally ingest with your other food. In other words, dont try to eat a P+F meal. of course, with the exception of the night of you whole cheat day, where you r last meal is cottage cheese (or LC Grow) and fish oil caps.

He then goes on to say that guy s who throw the food log have had better success than those who follow the rules.
I did both (when I threw out the log, I made sure not to go out and hog on high F+C meals) and I saw progress with both methods. you will gain water weight immediately after the overfeed, but that effect is soon lost after the next day of strict dieting (not to get gross, but you have some of the most massive dumps of your life time, you actually feel your body shedding)

Jodgey I get that “shedding” deal usually right in the middle of my refeed day and ending by the next morning.

Maybe I “shed” faster than most people, but I can really tell when I eat something that is different than I do normally. Only takes about 4-5 hours for the “shedding” to begin…lolol

What I’m sorta wondering now is the whole leptin thing. Seems that during that discussion between lyle & berardi they agreed somewhat that leptin isn’t that big of a deal. So what is it about refeed’s that seems to work?

Mentally they seem to help, at least in some cases (like scheduling dinners out and special events on those days), but honestly the food on that day isn’t the greatest of feelings to me. Just seems like I’m “shedding” most of it away…

This morning, after 2 weeks of strict T-dawg dieting, my body stats are as follows :

TBW 198 pounds (down from 203 pounds)

BF 12.25% (do’t know the change, as I didn’t have my alipers 2 weeks ago)

Waistline 87cm (down from 89cm)

I’m starting CD as of monday, only I didn’t get what you meant in your reply to my previous post, jodgey. 1.5 days of cheating - that’s like 3 nights of cheating a week, on days after weight training, riight? And, if I’m correct, no chocolate and pizza as cheat meals?

you are on a four day cycle.
Day one strict diet
day 2 strict diet
day three mixed diet (first half of the day preworkout, strict. . . second half of the day or postworkout is overfeed)
third day overfeed diet requirements.

the requirements are calculated in teh spreadsheet.

On day five, you start the cycle over again. (ie strict diet)
day 6 strict
day 7 mixed
day 8 ovfd
rinse and repeat. You finish on day 18, which would be after your second strict day.

What are most of y’all using as fat burners during the TDawg phase?? I’m trying to do it without any at all, but it gets pretty brutal…heheh

Using hot rox, although for first 2 weeks I didn’t have anything.

What part is brutal about it? Hunger?

Off on my own stuff, I’m now going to switch to shorter session refeeds every ~4 days or so. Anytime I go out on a friday or whatever it’s only a half day anyway, so I can easily eat tdawg clean for the other half. And I feel I need them more often than the previous 7 day cycle.

About 6 weeks in now and my weight seems to be holding steady, which I really like. Seem to be gaining LBM at the same rate as losing fat, roughly 2 pounds per week. Raw big lift poundages still suck, but at least they are increasing.
At this rate if goldberg stopped increasing I may catch him in another couple of years…lolol fat chance of that.
Getting very close to that top end of single digit BF, maybe I could even see if I have spinal erectors in a few weeks.
