Rotator cuff & testosterone

Got an ultrasound done and the prognosis is multiple tears to the rotator cuff. However I don’t have the follow up with the orthopedic doc for a few days yet and my reading has left me with this conclusion. When ‘they’ say rotator cuff tears they seem to use the term interchangeably for the muscles that make up the rotator cuff group AND the tendons that connect those muscles to the humorous.

My question is this: if the doctor tells me I have muscles tears vs. tendon tears am I correct in assuming extra test would speed healing?

I know anabolics don’t help tendon and ligament healing but I thought maybe some powerlifters (or anyone) on this board might have been in a similar situation.

Thanks.

Sorry but those won’t heal on their own via anabolics or not, most RTC tears occur near the tendinous unit or where the muscle converts to tendon. You can usually avoid surgery via strengthening what is left pending partial v full thickness tears. I ve seen up to 70% tears do well.

MD said tears in both my RTs. The pain level ranged from 4-5 to a 10 in the AM, 24/7. The more physical strain=more intense pain.
He is giving me Prolo therapy. Have had 5 treatments. It is working. I have not had this kind of pain relief in 25 years. I wanted to avoid surgery. I am very pleased with the results so far.
The HRT (test.) was no help for the shoulder injuries.
Prolo will most likely work even better on someone younger than my 64 years. I wish you well.
