That is some badass shit. The car pushing will kick your ass thoroughly.
Briefly chatted with him once on another board, he’s easily one of the most (if not THE MOST) humble guy’s I’ve ever had the opportunity to talk to.
If you have the chance get his books it’s a lot of no nonsense material really direct and straightforward.
His material’s are really underpriced…

Was he a good boxer? I mean he obviously could hand out a beating and such, but was he a freak of training that could totally annihilate people?
he kept breaking his hand(s) which cut his career short otherwise he had real potential. I dont think he really developed his training methodology till after those events.
IMO he’s a great example of what an athlete should be able to do. Handle heavy ass weights in a ballistic, explosive manner, and do it for REPS. He’s agile, explosive and has catlike balance it’s crazy.

The video of him jump roping was freakin’ amazing. I wish I had half his speed when it came to skipping rope.
I agree. I’ve seen it ten times, and I’m amazed everytime I watch it.
His training principles are great, and you really can’t say anything bad about him or his training. He’s effective, and seems like a good guy.
How about them clap pull-ups? Or the pull-up/chin-up grip switching. That made me cry.
yea, those were sweet, i have never gymless as i speak. not to brag but just stating some improvements i have made. first of all i am 16, and don’t have much of a training backround before i started never gymless in october. I have definitely noticed everything even just doing normal activities is much easier(not that they were hard before),.
so here’s some improvements on some of the major lifts after a 4 and a half months of consistent rosstraining(never gymless)
bench press:max from 145 to 205
squat 255 to 320
deadlift:245 to 335
also conditioning has greatly improved

those transitions were cool. it was like magic!
I bet his neighbors refer to him as the crazy guy next door.
They absolutely do…my freinds and i do car pulls and shit in my driveway, and tire flips…my neighbors dont know what to say, but they do the smart thing and just stay in their house and watch…im not sure if anyone in their right mind would tell test fueld bastards pulling cars and flipping 400lb tires to stop haha…

I can understand the car pulls, but I would never shit in my driveway. But that’s just me…
I’ve briefly talked to him too. Very good guy. Legit boxer, obviously, who had some injuries. I’m glad to see he is successful. A lot of great guys get injured and then they’re screwed. I like Ross’s stuff a lot.
He just posted a new video today. Triple clap push-ups:
Dude is a bEast with a capital e.
I’ve heard a variety of people talk about him for a few years (strongman guys, martial artists, etc.) and nobody has a bad word to say about him. That’s very cool.

Ross is the man.
I agree, I’ve never heard anyone say a bad word about Ross. But then again, you really can’t say anything bad about him after watching his training videos. He’s ridick!!!

When you gotta go, you gotta go…haha naa well next to my driveway there is a strip of grass about 12 feet wide and runs the same length as my driveway, and its pretty long probably 30 yards give or take a few, and we do tire flips on the grass, and sometimes the driveway if the grass is wet or something…

I will be the first.
Ross SUCKS! He stole my car! He eats babies!
Just kidding. The guy is awesome.
I love the video of him jumping rope.
gotta agree with everything thats been said. i have his never gymless book, and its really, really good. i have found it perfect to add to Beradi’s ideas of gflux workout protocols. and having watched those vids the guy is a freakin machine. would like to see him offer some articles on T-Nation
Guys - I live in Greece, discovered the Rosstraining site by accident, and have not been in my right mind ever since. Ross is a foookin’ BEAST.
ONE-ARM roll-outs ? Only performed by demons on crystal meth.
I bought the Infinite Intensity book, and have built my entire training around this (with some additional Powerlifting on the max effort day).
The looks of sheer horror I get in the gym are almost more valuable than the results…
Dr. D.
That was an impressive video.
I am not trying to sound like the exercise police, but why was he keeping his head off the bench during the one arm bench?

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

I’ve never seen anyone keep their head of the bench for an entire set,
I wonder if he was doing for a specific reason.
Just saw this thread and thought I’d chime in. I’ve probably spent more time at Ross’s site than T-Nation over the past couple months, and probably have more respect for him than perhaps anyone else in the strength and conditioning arena. I’ve never met him, but have exchanged emails back and forth with him a number of times. Not only did he return my emails quickly but you can tell he took the time to really think about what I was asking him.
I really have nothing to add about the guy’s physical ability because the vids speak for themselves…he is a machine in the truest sense…a flat out animal.

It was probably happening while he was trying to stabilize himself on the bench.
aka due to muscular tension diffusing?
