WHAT!? This is absurd. Not that I’m biased or anything.

LOL!
I am really not sure how PT could help me as the best thing I could do is not bend my knee.
I am in the process of shopping new docs. Someone who will be more supportive of my goals. Perhaps they will perscribe PT ![]()
I am seeing a new Ortho doc on Tuesday. As for now I am starting a new Russian Peaking program to get ready for my meet in June.
Squat 1x10xBW, 1x10x45, 1x8x65, 1x8x95, 1x6x115, 1x6x135, 1x5x160, 1x3x185, 6x2x210, 1x1x225, 1x1x245
Bench press 1x10x45, 1x10x65, 1x6x95, 1x5x115, 6x3x135, 1x1x155
SLDL 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x8x115
I will normally have more assisstance work on the schedule but as it is Easter and I am expected at my parents house in about an hour, I cut it short.
Deadlift 1x10x135, 1x8x185, 6x3x215
GMs 1x10x45, 1x10x65, 2x10x95
had another doc tell me that I couldn’t lift with out risking complete rupture of my patellar tendon… I am not ready to accept that yet. I am starting PT next week and I am going to continue to train in am attempt to get ready for the meet in June…
Squat 1x10xBW, 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x6x115, 1x5x135, 1x5x155, 1x5x185, 6x3x210
Bench 1x10x45, 1x10x65, 1x10x95, 1x5x115, 6x2x135, 1x1x155, 1x0x165
This program is challenging because of the amount of reps. The bench is killing me because by the time I am done with my working sets and try to do heavy singles I am worn out. In therory I should get stronger though ![]()
Movin some nice weight. Good luck.
I was thinking of you last night as I was hiking. How you must be going through serious mental angst with your current predicament. And how it’s so important to have a passion, something that propels you forward without abandon. I hope you can find that if PLing isn’t in your future. But I agree with many people’s suggestions that perhaps you should focus on your bench. Get a bench coach and become the best damn bencher out there if you can’t squat and DL.

I know you all like that comment, it makes alot of sence and esp. if I have surgery I will definently do bench only for awhile… I’m just not quite ready to go there just yet. So far it is not hurting more it’s just annoying…
We will see what happens as the meets gets closer the weights get heavier ![]()
Bench 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x5x115, 6x4x135
Squat 1x10xBW, 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x6x115, 1x5x165, 1x8x185, 6x2x210
My gym week got kind of fucked up so tonight was my middle day of my Russian Peaking program.
Deadlift 1x6x135, 1x6x155, 1x6x185, 6x4x215
That was it… out side of the fact that my hands were screaming at me.
Squat 1x10xBW, 1x8x45, 1x6x95, 1x5x115, 1x5x135, 1x5x165, 1x5x185, 6x4x210 (this completely sucked) I really didn’t think I was going to be able to finish my working sets today. But I did
Ugly-ly
Bench 1x10x45, 1x6x95, 1x5x115, 6x2x135
For some reason I felt beat before I even got to the gym, probably having to do with not taking enough time off in between work outs. I think I may take a nap now.

When I tore my shoulder up, I surgeon-shopped. I was very clear that I wanted no part in the surgery deal if I couldn’t bench again in competition. The surgeon who did the work was very supportive of my goal to get back to the platform and followed me for a very long time post-surgery. And I have to admit that I can’t raw bench near the numbers that I used to. But so far so good with the gear.
That being said, I understand the desire to play it safe as well. Tough decision for you, I imagine.
Gatlinburg! Yes, I will look into it. May have to bring my daughter. But she’s darn cute.[/quote]
Amen to playing it safe.
Squat 1x10xBW, 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x6x115, 1x6x135, 1x5x165, 1x5x185, 6x2x210
Bench 1x10x45, 1x10x95, 1x8x115, 6x5x135
The bench went better then I thought it would. Doing that many sets of that many reps at a reletively high weight for me gave me the opportunity to really work on keeping my form at I got tired and work on my leg drive. But to tell you the truth it wasn’t bad at all, the very last rep was kind of a grind though. The squats were ok but I dislike how heavy 210 feels and that I need to wear a belt on my “light days” for them. On friday I have to do 6x5x210… I am not looking forward to that…
Good work on the money sets of both bench and squat.
Stay Strong

Deadlift 1x10x135, 1x8x155, 1x6x185, 6x5x215 That was it.
Today was a rough day. We had a lunch at work, for Lab Week, and I was helping to set it up. I had to set up tables and chairs and break them down and serve food… for 6 hours. By the time I got to the gym I was exhausted.I used straps for my last 3 lifts because my grip was starting to get in my way of making the lifts.
I am taking a 1 HOT-ROX in the morning and one with lunch just to keep me going all day. I am think of upping my afternoon dose to 2 on gym days. I am just too tired.
Today was tough.
Squat 1x10xBW, 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x8x115, 1x6x135, 1x6x165, 1x5x185, 6x5x210
Bench 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x5x115, 6x2x135
I felt like crap by the end of tonight session. First of all I took my 3rd HotRoxx of the day on the way to this work out which caused my first hour to be extremely sweaty
By the end I felt ill, I had a head ache, I was hungry but didn’t want to eat, I wasn’t sure I could drive home, and arms and legs jsut hurt. This work out took about 2 hours and 15 mins. I didn’t get home untill 8pm. I did make myself eat and I feel better. This program is going to kill me or make me stronger… I’m not sure which way I am leaning yet ![]()
Solid work, especially when you feel like shit. Its easy to kill it when you feel great, way to power through.
