I’m scaring me too. It doesn’t hurt right now but Iam aware of it. It’s not swollen and yet it feels somewhat stiff… and best yet, it is a little crunchy sounding :frowning:

My knee is still kinda fucked up so I kept the knee sleeves on and started wrapping at 185. I had hoped to hit 285 on my squat today but my squat depth and position was becoming at factor at 265 so I stoppped there. Hopefully over teh next few weeks I can get it sorted out so I have a chance at a respectable total for the meet.
Also, since I seem to be falling apart I got glucosimine, fish oil, Aleve, icy hot, a heating pad and an ice compress… I WILL make it through this meet! :slight_smile:

While 170 is not a PR it is the first time in a long time that that I have hit it. YAY! If I can continue hitting it up until the meet I will attemp it for my max :slight_smile:

As for deadlift 265 came up slow and difficult, but at least I hit it twice. Hopefully this keeps building.

I warmed up on the bike, pre sprayed with icy hot, and wore my knee sleeves for all my deadlifts. My knees and back felt fairly good when I left the gym, yay! I experienced a little knee pain about an hour later but it went away as I walked on it. I guess all the fish oil and glucosaimine plus Aleve is working out :slight_smile:

knees don’t sound good…probably the beginnings of what I have going on. I wouldn’t say to stop squatting altogether but you’ll probably have days where its just not going to happen. And it may not hurt WHILE your doing something but will hurt later on because of the swelling.

Everything went wrong yesterday from my blood sugar be too low, missing squats that I KNOW I can make, to a mis-communication in a bench press command on a press that should have been easy. I am pretty sure it is blood sugar that fucked everything up considering my body temperature dropped which made me start to shiver and of course caused a certain amount of weakness. Blah. I was very diasppointed.
Also I was not able to repeat 170 again :confused:

sorries you had a bad day, I’m helping another girl at the Arab meet too. (her first meet also, but this time DL only), she is also diabetic and had shoulder and then knee surgery about a year ago).

When I was training with her in AL and her blood sugar got low, she would still say, I’m fine, I’m lifting…( she gets quick tempered when her count is low - her trainer and I would hold steadfast until she went and took her blood sugar count and then drank her coke (her quick fix)…we’ll all go out for dinner Friday night if it works out…

Charlie seems to be saying, I’m bomb and I know it… :slight_smile:

I am usually really on top of my BG in the gym. However today I didn’t have my continuous glucose monitor in and as I usually don’t feel my BG dropping it got away from me before I knew it. I don’t usually get upset unless I am feeling pressured, I tend to get more confused, monosyllabic, and weak. Since I got my insulin pump that very rarely happens now. I have ever intent to stay on top of my BG during that weekend.
Yay! dinner. As I have decided not to worry about my weight class for this meet I am quite pleased at the idea of a big meal :slight_smile:

This whole thing about being busy all week and only getting to go to the gym on fridays and weekends really sucks. Hopefully over the next 2 weeks I can work in a few extra sessions to get ready for the meet.

Thanks. Though that was last year, I am a little “curvier” at the moment, but I will get back there by spring I hope :slight_smile:

OWOW this bloodsugar thing… you are diabetic? I have a friend that is also its kind of a big deal. All I know is fo sho fo sho fo sho when that is fucked you’re fucked… like don’t beat yourself up over a crappy session if low blood sugar is at play!
