Massif, in canada when you’re 16 you can fight amatuer MMA fights, im not a pro, and im sitting at 162 and fight against guys that are like 185 and cut 15pounds of water, that pisses me off more than juice, cutting 7 pounds of water to fight at LW makes me feel like shit so i dont do it…and i just started PL…i wasnt trying to piss anybody off…was just giving my two cents…peace
Again you bring it to the cutting of weight, a valid strategy that isn’t going anywhere. Again you look retarded. Read up on doing it more efficiently or ask someone, please. 7 pounds is simply not an obstacle. Almost anyone on this thread could lose 7 pounds of water playing basketball in temperate weather. Either gain LBM and/or take some friggin’ dandelion root, or admit that you like getting beaten on by bigger and stronger fighters. S&M is perfectly alright in this day and age.

The funny part is that he admits to getting hammered on by fighters who have cut, but doesn’t see it as an option for himself. Learn from the guys that are beating you. Cut some weight and come in at the top of the next weight class down. It is not b.s., it is a strategy to increase your chance of winning. It sounds like you are in the bottom of your weight class anyways. Unless of course you are all ready so lean that cutting would jeopardize your health and performance. What is your current body composition, and what would you have to do to make the next one down?

dude im 2-0, with a triangle and a guillotine choke…ima striker…i was pwning them standing so they both took me down cuz my sprawls suck and i just worked some ground magic…nobodies seriously hammered me yet

First of all you cannot tell just by looking at someone wether they are on roids or not. Secondly I am a former competitive kickboxer and The guys I trained with and lived with looked like Phil Baroni and Kevin Randleman. They did not use any steroids or growth hormones. There are way too many people who look at someone who is bigger, stronger and more athletic than they are and in order to justify their own shortcomings say that “he must be on roids”. Any kind of combat training will cause a mesomorphic body-type to look and perform incredibly. I was accused of using steroids as early as my sophomore year of highschool, and I have never touched them. But I was stronger, leaner and better than everyone around me because of my work ethic. I hate pussies who don’t really train hard and then accuse someone of using steroids because they are bigger and stronger than themselves. Kevin Randleman is not using steroids, he has a tremendous work ethic, and genetics. My kickboxing instructor was 47 and was under 7% bodyfat, never touched a supplement or anything in his life. The only guy of all the ones shown who I think might be using is Bob Sapp but even that isn’t for sure. I have been around a great many fighters and athletes who won’t touch steroids. They train so hard and have such good genetics that some accuse them of using. Well to all you out there who have nothing better to do than accuse those who are better than yourself of using roids…shut the fuck up and train, then maybe you will get somewhere
I like Kevin Randleman, and he is in team hammer right?

Maybe because you’re “fighting” in Canada.

Here’s an interview clip with Minotauro from the Brazil’s Top Team from mmma tv. Seemed on topic so I’ll post it for yinz guyz.

"Interviewer: I have a question for you that may be a little uncomfortable… Sakakibara, the president of PRIDE, stated recently in a interview that PRIDE doesn’t check for steroids. What do you think about that?

Minotauro: I think they should do it, but it’s Sakakibara’s choice because it’s his event. I think they should test, because normal fighters have less chance to win against someone who takes something.

Interviewer: The strength is really different?

Minotauro: Yes, it makes a big difference. It makes really a big difference. And they test in the Olympics, so I think they should also do it. But Sakakibara can decide, because as I said, it’s his event.

Interviewer: You don’t take steroids yourself?

Minotauro: No, I am 100% natural. When I was 14 years old, I was already weighing around 90 kg (198 pounds). So I was always a big guy. (laughs)

Interviewer: So I suppose you never had any problems in school.

Minotauro: No, no. (laughs)

Interviewer: Okay, that’s all. Thank you very much for the interview!

Minotauro: You’re welcome!"

Its guys like you that make martial arts geeky.

Fernando Vargas the 1996 US olympic gold medalist in boxing tested positive for steroids after his lost to the Golden Boy Oscar Dela Hoya a few years back.He serves a suspension. During the fight the announcers remarked on how physically stronger he looked compared to Dela Hoya. A non steroid fighter KO’s a fighter on juice. James Toney beats John Ruiz in a heavyweight fight early this year and is tested positive for steroids and serves a 6 or 9 months suspension. I couldn’t tell if they were on steroids but Vargas did look physically stronger in his fight against Dela Hoya compared to his previous fight.
I’m gonna jack this thread and ask about Joe Stevenson from the Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV, if you see his nipples they look like gyno.
Please correct me if I’m wrong. I think he’s used steroids but hey I might be wrong and it could be genetics

I guess about 95% of the Pride/UFC MMA guys use or have used roids. I know several who use and do not look like it.
They only take a little bit, not like a BB.

yeah, he’s got gyno…but i couldn’t say if it’s from AAS or not. some peopel get that during puberty, and just never get rid of it…but he is pretty big, strong and fast. howver, i don’t like to say somebody’s “on” unless i know it…

True.
I usually think of gyno were the results of morbidly obese kids. Can’t it go away or will it be there forever?
OOps didn’t mean to hijack the thread there.
