'Roid Gut'

I’m familiar with the distended GH-gut, but I don’t know if there is any truth to that regarding Anabolic Steroids. It’s never been an issue for me until now. I recently had a show and even though I was running detox and water pills all the way up til, I still looked like I had a very thick/almost bloated midsection. I had very visible veins running all over my abs but still had that “fat abs” look.

This is the longest cycle I have ever ran. (First 12 weeks Test Blend+EQ; Last 13 Tri-tren blend, TrenA/TestP/MastP blend along with Winny towards the end) I ran HCG for weeks 3-19 approximately. Prior to the show I was only on a blend of Tren A/Test P/Mast P and was also running Albuterol. I did the last injection about 4-5 days before the show. (Wondering if I should cut it out earlier going into the next show?)

Even though I believe I was leaner this time around, I compared the pics to a show I did in September where everything had been out of my system for 7 weeks and I was thinner (though not as ripped) and looked dryer. I didn’t think Tren A, Test P, and Mast would retain that much water…especially when running water pills. I had been doing a lot of WEIGHTED abs, which I stopped two weeks out and did only crunches/planks, etc. but I don’t know if that was too little too late.

I guess I’m just wondering if and when to cut out all AS if that is what is causing this or if I should approach abs differently or just add more cardio. (Didn’t do very much cardio going into the show. Very, very minimal.)

I wasn’t eating more. I really didn’t tweak my diet that much as the weeks/days got closer. It was a slow, gradual diet. I didn’t really low-carb/high-fat, or change my macros all that much from day to day. I had it set to roughly 2800 cal; 62g/fat 230g/carbs and 300g/protein. Somedays I would go over on fat, almost every day was under that on carbs.

This time around I won’t be doing that. I’m going to carb-cycle more and definitely reduce calories the closer I get. It’s just the calorie-reduced state without being on gear that makes me nervous about losing too much muscle.

I have heard mention of people dropping all injectables a couple weeks out and finishing strictly with orals for the fear of water retention.

I don’t know enough about it to be specific but it could be worth looking into.
