It looks like the major difference now is that the 2.0 is a little cheaper and it has the new composite “self lubricating” bushings opposed to the brass bushings in the Ohio 1.2.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these bars?
After much research and deliberation I went with the Pendlay HD NexGen Bushing Bar.
From user accounts it seems to be the better choice as far as performance. Plus it’s a 28mm bar opposed to a 28.5 like the Rogue bars (standard for competition bars). It cost about 20 bucks more than the Rogue 2.0. Like the Ohio Bar the Pendlay bar has brash bushings.
The selling point for me is that the Pendlay bar is less of an “jack of all trades” and more of an “Olympic” bar. I already have a Texas Power Bar for the “power lifts.” I suspect my Pendlay will never enter my rack and will never have a steel plate on it other than change Plates.
