just a note to say I ordered a 12" log and deluxe farmers walk bars from Pitbull equipment the other day, should be here within two weeks, something I should have done in December like I planed but a friend said he could make them for me no problem… well Its almost May, LOL figured shouldn’t wait just hampering progress.
And I also got this steal of a deal on
a bunch of plates and some bars on ebay 20 bucks!

Finally got a real workout in I am happy with it even though I didn’t fell to great doing it
Push press (no double knee bend)
135x8
155x6
175x3
175x4
Front squat
175x5
175x5
175x5
I was planing on doing 1 set at 175 that 3-4 more sets at around 195-205 but I was getting real light headed I almost blacked out on the 3rd set!
Log grip DB overhead strict press
40x8
45x6
45x6
Meant to do more volume but I didn’t fell great for what could be a number f reasons
1 it was 95 degrees outside when I started working out and I am not used to the heat yet.
2 I have ate ALOT less food this week… no appetite I will start eating again next week
3 I took some NO Xplode before I worked out (had a sample pack) yes yes I know!
I just figured what the heck, it was free sitting there and I wanted to know what all the 15 year old lifters where taking up when they say “Im all noxed up”
HAHA events Sunday I am pretty sure I am going to get the eating back on track tommarow to be 100% for events.

They may baby weights to you Phil, lol. but I am happy with 4 reps at just under 90% of my max! AND I didn’t Push Jerk, I push pressed I could have got an easy 6-7 with another knee bend.
It was much needed rest this week!
FYI Events Next comp
450lb Axle deadlift 18" no straps or suits
Medley: Farmers Walk 100ft 240lb tire flip 5 flips 600-750lb? tire I am guessing
12" 220lb for reps
keg carry and load probaly 3 kegs weights probaly somewhere around 200, 225, 250 to probaly a 40" platform (THANK GOD! a short mans platform!)
Truck pull 100ft
Overall I think good events for me, as long as my overhead keeps improving, and I will start working BIG time on the farmers walk. If I can make it 100ft I am actually decent at tire flips.

Congrats on this endeavor I have been training for strongman for my whole life, ha ha, but seriously look at all the exercises like sled dragging and tire flipping these will help significantly on increasing strength and endurance

April 29th/07 OH
-2x6x120 standing oh press
-supersetted 2 sets of: 1-arm BB presses, bent laterals, front bb raises and laterals
-3x12 single arm tri extensions
-2 sets of abs
Didn’t have time to train with the group I ussaly do events with so I did some condtitioning
400lb tire flips
couple trips of 40ft
1 trip of 100 ft this about killed my cardio
couple trips of tire walks (standing inside of tire holding with fingers on the inside) ran with it for about 40-50ft in 11 seconds so that wasn’t to bad, rough on the grip though.
just a little much needed condtitioning
I hope my farmers get here by next weekend so I know I can train them.
Also
Went and picked up the weights I bought on ebay ended up being
4 45’s 4 22’s 1 25 4 11s 4 10s 8 5s and 8 2.5s
so a little over 400lbs of weight
Plus two real nice straight bars, one rolls real smoth, might have ballbearings? both have a type of diamond knurling and are smoth in the middle, real nice bolt on clamps with them to. Maybe I wont bend these…
Also some ghetto homemade olympic curl bar(olympic ends welded onto a standard bar) and I guess what are homemade squat stands (I would never use them!) and a homemade weight tree
I bought a $2.50 inflatable ball at W-Mart, plus about $40 of expandable sealant foam. Taped a plastic container to the top. Then encased the ball with the foam. Once it dried, I cut off the container, leaving a small rim, released some air, then cut the ball around the circumference of the container. Partially buried it my garden, sprayed a silicone lubricant into it, filled it with Quikrete 5000 (about 2.75 bags). I made a concrete vibrator with the pipe out of a keg and an electric tire pump.
I left it in the mold for 2 days. I was being extremely careful removing it from the hole (as I had placed a trash can lid under the mold with a rope looped below the lid in order to pull it out of the hole). This did not work for crap, so I just rolled it up and out with no damage to the foam mold.
I am not sure if I will be able to reuse the mold (it will take a lot of taping as it is now in 3 pieces: the bottom half, with the top coming off in 2 pieces).
The stone is surprisingly smooth. There some rougher areas around the bottom where the vibrator did not work well. I think I can use some concrete resurfacer to fill in the rough areas.
