Road to NPC Diamond April 2013

I got the app thanks for the recommendation, it’s good and it was free!

How’s the prep going?

I love threads like this. Makes me think about cutting down to super low bodyfat (lower body striations) just to see how much muscle I actually have…

Prep is going is good as it can right now… waiting on my coaches update as we speak.

Today is my refeed day and my macros are: 210g protein, 445g carb, 30g fat. Therefore, I’ll be getting in some kids cereal most likely…maybe some poptarts (new flavor that I posted)…some other high carb/lower fat stuff that I could go for.

My weight was at an all time low this morning at 149.8lbs…so I’m officially below 150lbs now. It’s pretty gnarly to be at this weight for me…but, is what it is I guess.

Last night I did TWELVE sets of deadlifts, 5 sets of barbell bench and 3 sets of standing OHP…hit my cardio after. Today is a very welcomed carb up…feel like I need it.

The only thing that sucks about weekly refeed is…they usually come right on a day I’m at a new low. I know that the next 2-3 days I will be up in weight so, it kind of blows. But, by like I said…within 5 days or so post refeed I’m usually at a new low. That is what I’ve noticed with my body. In fact, the day after I’m not that much up in weight…it is usually TWO days after my refeed that I’m up a good 2-3lbs fresh morning weight.

I’ll shoot some update pics relatively soon guys.

So is this thread dead?

Apologize a great deal for the slow updates…I’ve been incredibly busy with work, training, cardio and keeping my macros/nutrition on point. I’ve been looking for a new job as of recent and just have not had the energy by the end of the day when all is said and done to update…

However, I’ve stayed on point…I have not stray from my macros at all…I haven’t missed any cardio…and I have given my best each training session. I’ve been riding right on the 150lb mark and briefly moved into the HIGH 140s…right around 149lbs. We have been reverse dieting INTO the show for the last few weeks and attempting to compensate with more cardio etc…so far, I have been able to lose bodyfat each week while increasing food.

Will update a pic from last Saturday.

here’s a recent hands hips from Saturday. I do feel that the given lighting washes out my shoulders…in person I can see a lot more detail but, oh well…

Will you remove gluten and dairy from your diet anytime soon ?

Looking loads leaner already, that’s already a big difference from the last pics. is the scale starting to mess with your head yet?

I still find it amazing how much bigger someone can look by shedding some fat, even at such a low body weight.

Keep up the good work man!

Why would I do that?? I cannot view this comment as anything other than a partial jab at the least.

Approximately 75% of my daily protein intake comes directly from dairy sources…be it greek yogurt, cottage cheese, whey powder and casein powder…

For the last 5-6 days I’ve had a homemade burrito or two consisting of white flour tortilla, black beans, white rice, fat-free kraft cheese and chicken or lean pork or turkey or beef…

I haven’t suffered any ill effects? So, why would I remove foods that are working for me and that I greatly enjoy?

…when are you anti-gluten anti-dairy paleo guys going to realize that it’s not for everyone. Not everyone gets da glutenz and dies or gets the dairy bug and loses all dem gainz. It’s quite ridiculous actually. I go by real, empirical, research based scientific evidence to help me make my decisions and my anecdotal experiences after said decisions allows me to realize whether or not to continue on that path. And…when I say empirical, scientific research…I don’t mean the swayed/skewed, practically useless studies thrown up by most paleo advocates. Out of all of those studies I can point out boatloads of errors and at best find some correlation data but, almost no causality…

I probably came off a dick…I just found that question pretty inane…

Good progress. I am not a Paleo guy by any means, but it is pretty tried and true to remove dairy from your diet during preps. Maybe give it a shot for 7-10 days and see if it makes a visual difference. Just make sure you replace it with some lean meats since 75% of your intake comes from dairy.

i cut dairy and wheat/gluten out of my diet.

im not lactose intolerant, or a celiac… but i still strongly believe that dairy and wheat are bad for you

plus now i have a reason to learn how to make my own bread/waffles out of stuff like brown rice flour etc, and my own cheese out of almonds and spices. dairy is supposed to make you look smooth

i still consume whey protein isolate though, but only after my training

Thanks a ton my man…I’m right at around 150lbs in that picture…lol…looking to be low 140s and will attempt to claim novice bantamweight class. However, I believe this show may only go as low as lightweight so, I may be competing in that class at a bantamweight bodyweight…

I don’t know how these preps work, that’s why I’m asking.

Here is a recent back shot…right at 150lbs when taken…all the fat seems to be mainly in my back and lower body…so…these next 11 weeks will be pivotal.

No time to waste…macros have been lowered…cardio has been upped slightly and we’ve included one HIIT session per week.

Debating on including E/C stack for the remainder of prep…have not utilized any drugs nor supplementation (other than the usual…protein/creatine/bcaa etc) … So, I’m unsure. I do believe if I decide to…these last stages of prep would be the best time to…sort of like an ace card.

Will upload a couple more pics…one from in the gym as well to give an idea of how my shoulders and arms are coming in!

Some gym action here…curls for the gurls

hands hips…

you’re doing great man

id say off season focus on bring up chest and legs

Arms and delts looking great in those pics mate, makes me wanna start a cut again!!

What do you mean by e/c stack?

ephedrine, caffeine, and aspirin to keep the blood pressure down.

i wouldnt recommend it Op, as you are natural and that shit would be pretty catabolic. It’s pretty intense
