Rising From the Ashes (CL)

Looks great!
Enjoy

Happy Birthday ChickenLittle!
Jannuary, 7 was my anniversary too!

Enjoy your gift.

I cannot execute the basic lifts without oly bars anymore. Grip adjustments during the movements are very good (which is very hard to do with conventional bars). You will feel this advantage, for example, during the cleans.

Thank you! And Happy Anniversary!

Belated Happy Birthday also.

Thanks Biker!

Grrrrrrr!!!
Day6 mission aborted
Ass broken…total bullshit! I did this by sitting. Grrrrr! Probably in that high priced gotch ass restaurant where it took 45 mins to just get the food. I’m blaming them! Bad things happen when you have a 2:15 appt and leave at 10am. Six hours for a 20 min appt… geesh.

Stretched, GG/BG foam rolled, it just won’t straighten up. I will go drag the sander out here in a bit. I bet it will straighten up then.

It’ll straighten up in a couple or days, I hope, not my first rodeo with this. I just need to put the band work back in as warmup stuff once this sorts itself out.

I hear you. I think I need to take my “prehab” more seriously (although I feel ridiculous just saying that). I know it’s frustrating to be starting something you’re already a little wary of and then have a setback though!

Yes. And I just got my new bar! I’m going to try to get it at least functional my tomorrow. Anything is possible with enough ibuprofen lol

I call BS. There’s a reason I have hydrocodone 5s and 10s in my bathroom cabinet.

Lol! I have never taken a hydrocodone in my life.

It put me in a “I don’t care” drug mood. It work but I hate that feeling of sleep and carelessness

Did you hurt you butt area? Or lumbar? Either way sorry to hear that! That stinking coccyx area is involved with pretty much every lift in my experience. Every. Single, Lift!

I think sitting all day Wed aggravated my piriformis. My right hip is kinda out of sorts from driving all those years with my right leg cocked over on the gas pedal. Hope that makes sense.

It’s much better today! I soaked in some epsom salt and been stretching. I just have to keep in mind that the band work is very important for me.

Strengthening my hammies and glutes are my priority this year.

Babied my aching ass all weekend. Starts out pain free in the morning and by bedtime it excruciating.
So I just kept it to the BP complex today to see how bad it’s going to hurt later.

Been doing 90/90 stretches, took the sander to it multiple times, tried heat and ice, ate advil. Maybe it’s on the mend. We will see later. If it starts hurting will have to just come home early. May order a hip brace from amazon to see if that helps with walking around.

If anybody has any ideas about how to fix piriformis syndrome speak now please!

Are you sure it’s that?

Oh geez! Sorry it’s still not back to normal!

No clue about the specific issue you named but compression pants help my hips a TON. A next step for me was getting Rehband warming pants and they are a life saver for keeping my hips warm and toasty for lifts, not sure if their aid helping an acute injury.

99% I haven’t been to a doc but judging by the knotted up feeling in my right glute and pain down my leg I believe that is the culprit.

I strained/pulled something (I’m assuming piriformis) in my right glute a couple of years ago warming up on deads, and finally got it rehabbed to where it wasn’t bothering me.

My right hip will pop and almost put me on my knees at times, but since I have started the GG/BG that hasn’t been a problem. Stretching my hip flexors has helped too.

It could be something else, like that hip is worn out, but who knows.
