So… I stopped by the gym to finish for the day, and there was a new guy in there. Now, understand that nobody is ever friendly when I go there. Nobody really speaks to anybody. The new guy smiles and says Hi! So, I am like Wow!
He says he’s tired but he showed up, and that’s half the battle. I say something like some days are like that.
Anyway, I go over a look at the dumbells and he’s looking, so I say I just need to finish up this morning’s workout, just need to do some rows. He is intently watching and I reach down and pick a 40lb. He immediately says, Wow! That’s like the heaviesst ones here. I said nah, there is one 45.
I go to the other bench and started my 5x10. He grabs the other 40 and out of the corner of my eye I can see him hit about 5 reps amd was miraculously tired and had to leave! Wait! What? He didn’t even hit the other arm? What kind of bullshit is that? Left DB on the bench and hauled ass. I didn’t even have my resting bitch face on today.

I am greatly entertained by full grown men around 20 yo benching with a 10 or 25 on each end and acting like they’re doing something. Amazing how fast an area clears out when I pick up some weight. Can’t show off for the gym bunnies around me I guess.
