Will hit shoulders in the a/c :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: The bar there is VERY slick and since there is no sign of any chaulk I am assuming it’s a no no.
The good news is that the benches are those little stubby bastards which I like!
And, it was cold enough in there that penguins would be comfy in sweaters.

Thanks again Kev!
I haven’t been playing on my rings as much as I should. That usually helps my shoulders, but I have been slacking lately.

I stopped by the igloo his evening tried some cardio… Ewwwww! What was thinking :joy:
About 5 mins on the hamster wheel was all I could take. Took me a bit to figure out all the buttons but, finally figured out the hill and speed setting.

About 5 mins on the rowing machine thingy. Could have done that for hours.

Then took the fancy smancy elliptical for a 5 spin.

Tried out the bench/shoulder press/ lat pull down machine, not really impressed, probably because I have no idea how to use it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

What hamster wheel thingy?
So you just messed around then?

The treadmill.
And yeah, I was messing around, figuring out how everything works.
But I did burn about 100 calories! I only needed 500 more to burn off that carmel pecan turtle candy I had for dessert!

That’s the best way to do cardio–in bits and pieces! Makes it much less boring!

He did walk on the treadmill and spent a few minutes on the concept2 rowing machine! Yay!

I am woe out! :anguished:

And just for icing on the cake…
Weeny dog found a 4ft rattler in my mom’s backyard as we were getting ready to walk home.

Tenderized rattlesnake meat anyone! Mom didn’t tell me she loaded ole Betsy with those high brass shells. That’s gonna leave a mar… nevermind, it already left a mark!

How many pieces of snake did you make?

That’s me yesterday and today. Long week? Heat? Lots of work and demands?

A little bit of all it. If I typed it all out, it would be a book. But mostly the king sized mattress kicked my ass.! The handles were pretty wide and it was basically like doing snatch grip pulls to flip it over. I wrestled with for at least 30 mins to an hour. But it was totally worth it! My mom now has an awesome 14 inch thick, pillow top, bamboo hybrid, extra long twin sized mattress, and can sleep like a princess :joy:

We won’t talk about one of my favorite peeps excursion to the pizza hut to buy pizza for imaginary people because she has hallucinations from Parkinsons.

Feel better this morning but think I am going to skip lifting today. I think it will pay off in long run.

Once again, real work FTW! I think it’s really cool you’re able to use your strength to help so many people in real ways that impact their daily lives.

What re-motivated me a 1.5 months ago to find and stick with a workout program was having to heave-flip-roll an approximately 400-pound elm tree trunk and stump that was sitting in my back yard. It’s too big for me to lift and carry, and I had to move it around 50 feet uphill, in soft dirt. I ended up roll/flipping it lengthwise, halfway cleaning that beast to waist height, where I was able to get my hands on it and power-shove it the rest of the way over. Repeat til it was in the back part of my yard.

Wow! That sounds tough. Stumps can be ornery!
