WhooWhee 57 degrees in July, in Central Texas!
Spent this morning dissecting my squat problems. Finally hit a nice decent depth on 135, and right at parallel on the 145. My decent is too slow. The strength is there, but my confidence is lacking. Will tackle this obstacle after next weeks deload.
Not having a solid foundation on the bench sure decreases the ability to explode through the bar. My bench currently has a half-rotted piece of plywood on two steel runners, so I can empathize with your slippery bench experience.
Congrats on your deadlift PR, that’s freakin’ sweet!!
Thanks TnT! I benched at the gym and forgot my bands at home or I would have wrapped my bands around it. Or just taken the shirt off. Wish you were closer, I have a couple extra adjustable benches I could give you.
Well where’s the fun in that? You get the whole performance with me
Pretty sure that the 100 lb bench is never going to happen so I think we’re all safe!
A major plus for working out at home is being able to exercise without a shirt when it’s super hot. On the flip side, a major plus for gyms is air conditioning.
Thank you for your generosity, it touched me! I appreciate your offer of a bench, even though distance dictates that’s not feasible.
