Out of all the culinary crimes I commit, rotisserie chicken is very rarely one of them. I joked the other day about buying one scarfing it down on the way home but, it’s just not something I normally buy. It’s probably been at least 3 years since I have bought one.
My dryer went out the other day so we had to stop by the laundromat and dry clothes on our way home this evening. I told Jed let’s just grab one of those chickens. He can’t even remember eating one It’s been so long…lol
When we got home, The minute I took it out of the bag and sit it on the counter Puddin lost her mind. She knew exactly what it was. I haven’t seen that dog smile that big in a while. She was dancing around, sitting pretty, raring up on her hind legs and pawing the air just grinning. It was cute as shit.
We rescued her and Harry 2-3 years ago and she has never really been crazy for people food. I mean, she will eat a bite or two but never begs, much less act like that.
I guess whoever had her before must have fed her rotisserie chicken. I feel bad now. I honestly had no idea. I have been feeding her Fresh Pet, and Pedigree kibble and she always likes it,
but not like this. She is still smiling!
Right leg siezed up so bad about 2am I had to put it the bathtub and run hot water over it. Started in my foot/ankle and ran all the way up to my knee. asshole!
It’s so hard for me to understand that there’s nothing to be done for this. The American in me just feels like there should be a referral to…someone…who fixes these things. So that you can live your life. I occasionally have leg/foot cramps, and can’t imagine them being any worse, much less as bad as yours are. I’m so sorry.
Thanks! I think I have had a pretty good run this time though. I have made it almost 30 days with just a few, so I am calling that a win! Of course, I haven’t actually lifted anything heavy but, I am optimistic. It was just a little sore yesterday from it so, it could have been worse. It has been worse. I took a preventive measures last night and threw the microwaveable heating pad on it when I went to bed. It must have worked because it didn’t cramp.
Going to break out the barbell next month and see what happens
I honestly don’t know. The last time I went to see the quack (years ago) he said to just drink pickle juice before bed. Well duh, my legs won’t cramp because I will be up all night running to the bathroom.
My feet/legs never swell so I don’t think it’s a circulation issue.
Maybe some kind of nutritional deficiency because of the mild graves.
Maybe a mobility issue.
Probably some major organ failing that I don’t want to know about
I don’t have the time or money to go “doctor shopping” and that’s probably what it would take to find out.
What terrifies me the most is that mom’s legs cramped too, her’s ended up rotting. I can lie and say I don’t think about but…I do.
One of my peeps has the same problem and she has had all kinds of tests and she hasn’t gotten any answers either.
The last “real workout” I done they cramped for every night for days. Just pisses me off!
Hell has no fury like CL when she hasn’t slept in a week! Nobody wants that.
I just don’t seem to have much luck seeking medical help and doctor shopping is expensive. Imma just gonna have to gut it out.
All it does it leave me broke(r) and frustrated.
My peep is in her 80s but this has been a recurring problem for years like mine. She does the treadmill, recumbent bike and rowing so she’s not a slacker.

I can almost see the finish line. Lots of thoughts running through my mind this morning on what I want to do next. There will be at least one day off per week next month.
The more I learn about the field of medicine the more I don’t trust it at all. My approach is usually to listen to what they say but I almost always turn down medication, etc. and instead try to go about it from a more natural approach. Hope you can get that figured out!
Ah! This has been an ongoing problem for several years. Life goes on. It just pisses me off when I can’t lift like I want to. I get discouraged, stop for a while then start again. That’s why I made myself do this. Recovery has gotten better over the last 30 days. I am hoping if I don’t get stupid, (which is tough because we all know I am not very smart) and just keep everything super light starting out I can get back to where I want to be.
I get pretty annoying foot and calf cramps when I’m not getting enough of these things:
Calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium.
I take a mix of the last three in a powder dissolved in water (LMNT is the brand name, but there are others), drink it during workout and take a cal/mag/zinc supplement each night.
Thanks! I take mag/zinc. I think I eat enough potassium. Maybe it’s the calcium I’m missing.
I will look into some different supps and see if it helps.
I think the gatorade hydration stuff I bought recently had comparable ingredients to LMNT. Maybe try all of the stuff on @DaCharmingAlbino’s list and then if it helps try backing out the potassium and see if you’re still good?
Good thing Jed and I got those plants in the greenhouse!

These have been an exceptionally good set of bands. I’ll never find them again
Big pot of stew on the stove. Smelled sooooo good when I got back in the house. Now, off to make some cornbread and maybe some pumpkin muffins
