Had a good start last week but that went to hell in a handbasket.

The only thing I lifted Sat was mom off the kitchen floor. :smirk:

Good looking session. Definitely good if you slept on the floor last night. Sorry to hear about your mother falling.

Oh no! I hope and am praying that she and you are both okay and hanging in there!

Thanks! It went way better than expected. Definitely could have thrown some more plates on the trap bar.

Thanks again. She was a little sore but nothing bad, thank goodness.

Thank you! She’s okay, just a little sore. Thank goodness she didn’t break anything. She fell during the night so had to wait till I come up in the morning to check on her. She was ANGRY! Not at me but, because she couldn’t get up. This is the third time but the other two were more like a controlled crash. This one scared her a bit.

We have been staying with her at night now. Not sure how long she will let us. She is still trying to be extremely independent. We have repeatedly dicussed keeping the phone CLOSE. Not up onnthe table where you can’t reach it from the floor
Must have sank in this time. She has been keeping it with her.

We’ve had similar issues with my father-in-law recently. There are some panic alarm buttons available that are much easier to keep on his person than a phone (he refuses to get a mobile anyway). I don’t know what the range on those things is though, his doesn’t need to reach far.

If it’s not one thing, it’s your mother. Right?

I hope that maybe she learned an important lesson and she keeps that phone close from here on out!

Thanks @dagill2 I will check into it. She needs one that will just call me, not the ambulance.

Yep! She had some kind of “spell” yesterday while I was in town. Short of breath, weak. Her doc gave her a script for doxycycline through a video visit Friday. (The video visit was another debacle. I had finally talked her into going in and made an appt for Tuesday… but NOooooo… the nurse insisted we do a video visit on Friday. Useless!!!) Anyways, I think it may have been a reaction to the new meds, needless to say, I told her not to take anymore. This is the second time these made her feel “weird”.

UGH!! Ask them to give her something else! I hope she’s feeling better today. And I’m sending you lots of hugs, prayers, and all the sanity I’ve got (it’s not much, so don’t get excited…) to help you get through all this.

Thank you! This too shall pass.

She is definitely feeling better. I told him that it made her feel weird last time and yet here we are. The pharmacist said antibiotics always make you feel bad. I’m no medical expert but I am pretty sure 30 mins of not being able to catch your breath is not a normal side effect. :woman_shrugging:

Uh, yeah. Totally agree. Not normal. Gotta love our healthcare system…

These really stretched whatever is tight in my left pec area. I need to fix this so I can crochet/ craft again. Lame I know… but for me it’s such a good stress reliever.

Landmine squat

Supposed to cool down some after today, back down in the 90s :crossed_fingers:

Good luck with the heat. We have been enjoying some highs in the mid to high 80s this week. Has been wonderful!!

We have had a great summer. Can’t really complain, but this last week has been brutal.

And yes, that 111° was in the shade on the patio!

Good lord. That is brutal!
