Loaded baked potatoes, Cesar’s salad (out of a bag, so @QuadQueen can see I ate a vegetable this weekend…) and Pecan Pie muffins.
The muffins were definitely a keeper. Even Jed ate one! (He doesn’t really like nuts) I was so hungry for a bite of something sweet Thursday, I would have maimed somebody for one of these

Took mom to her appt yesterday. Her heart is in afib but the doc thinks they can treat it with meds. He was pretty optimistic but also told her this can be a life threatening issue. He would prefer if she went to the hospital but understood that she didn’t want to. He prescribed some new meds and she was already feeling better by bedtime. Going back tomorrow to see if things look better. He also prescribed her Eliquis. We didn’t get that one filled. $500 a month is a little out of our budget. Hopefully they can prescribe something a little less expensive.

See if they offer a card for that medication. I take Xarelto, another expensive blood thinner, and they offer a card that lets me buy it cheap. This isn’t a good rx card either, this is something that is offered directly from Xarelto that allows me to buy it cheap.

Thanks! The pharmacist said to talk to the doc and see if he can get some kind of help from the mfg. Hopefully we will talk about that tomorrow. Her regular PC/ GP isn’t very good at listening

After my blood clots were diagnosed they put me on Eliquis. It didn’t work, I still ended up with a pulmonary embolism. I’m confident that the right doctor will find something that works for your mom.
