So… this happened today.
Fostering to adopt. Meet Smiley and Sammy. A bonded pair. He is 8 and she is 5-6.
Those are the names the shelter give them, I doubt they will stick. Mom is already calling Sammy, Hairy… lol
They were picked up wondering a county road.

They seem very chill. Sammy/Hairy is blind and has a cough when he wakes up or gets excited. Smiley also has a bit of a cough but they had a very busy day so we’ll see of things improve the next few days.

Hm, hopefully they aren’t sick. It’ll take Hairy Sam a while to learn the layout of his new environs.
Keep an eye out on Sammy, morning cough could be a sign of heart failure.
They already look happy and comfortable.

I am concerned. Both were coughing last night. I will either have to take them back or adopt so I can get them to a vet. I specifically asked about kennel cough and was told they were negative, but it sure sounds like it to me.

The little doggies coughed off and on all night again so not much sleep. Have an appt at the vet this afternoon.
Sure hope this is nothing serious and that Hairy can have a bath… all I can smell is old dog
