Rising From the Ashes (CL)

Thank youbfor the advive Harry

Not unless you count a bag of deer corn. I’m just doing this willy nilly like everything I do. Corn may make a nice filler though.

It’s Jed and mom’s birthday next week so the gloves will have to wait. The bag was on sale for 50% off.

I doubt I will go all Rocky on it the first few days.

:rofl:Yeah, usually takes a week or 2 before you go all rocky on it. You’ve probably got some work gloves you can use. They don’t have to be anything fancy. Main purpose is to keep you from taking the skin of your knuckles. Later you can get some nice padded ones with the wrist strap incorporated in them. Of course when I see people using those I snicker.

Uh huh, that’s what I thought.

One quick wrap with a strip of duct tape around the wrist does wonders.

What happened to your hip?

Something in there clunked… lol
It will straighten up. Maybe hip flexor, abductor, who knows. Just need to get back to using the bands to straighten things out.

Well somebody was happy my ass wasn’t too broke to pack a bag of corn.

Foam rolled the hip yesterday, put my brace on, popped some Advil. Took mom to her doc appointment and little shopping. ( this is a major deal. The whole fam has to go, dog included. Mom hates leaving the house) Everything was feeling okay. Finally got home was sitting in my recliner and reached over to grab something and whatever clunked yesterday seem to pop back into place, happy for that, when I went to bed things felt okay. Woke up and ou, ouch! Ouch! Oh shit! I may have actually hurt myself  Once I got moving it loosened up. Whew!

Definitely an internal rotation issue. Cav asked yesterday what happened to it. I gave the short answer because it was hectic. This has been a recurring issue with the right hip area for years. It’s just screwed up from a million and half miles of sitting there driving with my foot cocked over on the accelerator pedal. Same with the left shoulder propped on the arm rest, and my permanent vulcan salute from fingers draping over the steering wheel. It is what it is. I screwed myself up with repetitive motion. Somethings can’t be completely undone. Just have tondo the best you can with what you have to work with.

I may have to postpone starting the 531 thing for a bit but, I said my ass was going to get back at it today and I meant it.

What kind of brace for the shoulder?

I’ve been wrapping my upper legs with compression bands (like Chris Duffin) to keep my hips happy.

Just one of those cheap elastic things.

But I think it’s helping to keep that left shoulder from rolling forward.

As crazy ( read old) as it sounds this hip thing started when I got a new recliner a couple months ago. Then I slipped on some ice taking the new dog out in the middle of the night. I just threw gas on an already burning fire. My bad. The chair has got to go.

P.S. I miss my big fluffy princess chair :sob: but it finally broke so bad I couldn’t patch it back together. When you sit in it, it was like bug warm hug.
