Rising From the Ashes (CL)

I have NO idea what they have done now, but I have spent an hour trying to get the browser update thing sorted out. I DON’T like it!!!

Just in case y’all think I didn’t do anything yesterday. Those 20ft joints of angle iron didn’t pack and cut itself. We got 6 of them assemled and I have 4 more sets already cut and ready to weld. @SkyzykS

One of my peeps give me a “fitness watch”. For what it’s worth… I have clocked over 16,000 steps per day everyday this week.

You are a busy bird!

I bet handling all of those is a ton of finger pinching shoulder burning fun.

So, what are they? I can tell that they’re a partition of some kind, but what for?

They are to go around his deer feeder to keep the hogs from eating all the corn. We are going weld chain keepers in them and chain them together in a circle.

His wife has seen them and already mentioned paint…:rofl::rofl:

Very good idea. They look pretty tough and substantial.

They might look nice in like a pink camo for the lady. Or spruced up a little with some flower pot holders along the top rail!

I dont think I have any good pics of “project crater cracks” but if I get some I’ll tag you.

We will see. I think we need to drive some T posts in the ground to keep the hogs from getting their snoot under them and tossing them around.

I ask him yesterday if we were going to paint them and he said NOPE! Hmmmm… it will be interesting to see who wins this.

Not sure project crater cracks is but I’m in. Tag me!

I think she’ll win. Just a guess. An educated guess.

Project crater cracks is the aluminum trailer my buddy bought with all of the bad welds. Cold starts & crater cracks.

I touched up and redid a bunch earlier this week, and will be back at them again in the next couple days.

Ahh, me but with overhead work. I wish bench was my struggle instead. Let’s swap problems!

Well… we got them finished and they are loaded on the trailer. We are going to go assemble the ring tomorrow morning. NO paint. He win this round

My entire upper body is a piece of shit. I blame my dad

Have you considered giving zero fucks about bench? I’ve been trying this approach recently and it’s worked wonders for me.

I have considered it, but it’s kind of a point thing. It pisses me off!

This is my strategy also. It’s foolproof. I highly recommend it.

It’s the things we can’t do we worry about, not the things we can do. I was gonna do a really deep tie in with the parable of the lost sheep but then decided it was probably better to just have another sip of my Jamesons. I myself have never been able to just say, “forget about it”.

It’s not like I am expecting miracles. A 100lb bench should be doable. :rage: The closest I have gotten is 95. I have tried high volume, low volume, high/ low frequency, narrow grip, wide grip, blah, blah, blah. Bottom line is… I am doing something WRONG. To the point I have jacked up my left shoulder/trap area.

Since I am drinking coffee and not Jameson’s I will delve into it… lol
A few months I decided I wanted to do some artsy fartsy stuff. It helps me calm my mind. Learned how to do a few new things. It took some practice but I got it. Then I saw something on Instagram and said I want to do that! Here I am 2 months later and yes, I can do that. Then I saw this little chicken. I know, the irony of it all
The only pattern I could find was written in some language google couldn’t even translate. I was even desperate enough to download pintrest. I had to Frog it (that means rip it, rip it, apart) several times and started multiple times but I DID get it. Same way with my bench. I need to get my head out of my ass and start over until I get it.

P.S. I am proud of my little chicken :rofl::rofl:

@TriednTrue because he asked for pics a while back

Crocheted doilies

Mandala dot art

Quilled paper

Diamond art ( these are like paint by number kits but super fun)

And the finished product @SkyzykS

And I am working on some hand painted Easter eggs.

Fixed it for ya

They aren’t mutually exclusive.

I’d love/hate to see what you could do with a tig welder and some stainless.

Thank you. We will never know.

I am wanting to build a pulley roller to make metal rings. Pimp Daddy’s is made with a scissor jack and three pulleys. I just need one to bend something smaller than rebar. The idea is simmering in the back of my brain.

The entry point for tig got way lower in the past few years. Not like it used to be…
But I’ll not be pushy about it.

There are a ton of maker vids on youtube for those ring benders.

Very handy for making banana hangers & whatnot. I got one from HF some years ago, but we had a shop made one for making bends on aluminum profiles at the frame place that worked beautifully.

Ive done a few things with my own that were pretty decent.
