I contacted the meet director yesterday and told him what had happened. He was very understanding.
Very disappointing but maybe things will go better next time.
My son took it the hardest, he was crying.
It happens! I bombed out on a meet the night before myself, and had worked really hard for months to get prepped. However if you feel like you are going to pass out or have GI upset on the platform in a singlet its best to cancel! There will be more to come!

Thanks Brute! And you are right, there will be other meets. If I would have gone and had an “accident” or bombed out on the first one, I would have never went back. Best to live and fight another day. The next one will be June 16.

After being up all hours of the night with my dad off and on last weekend, I took him the ER Monday evening. They kept him, then transferred him and that has made for a hectic week.
