I was hoping to a long time ago, just getting back into lifting and taking it slow to try and get my numbers up. I see that you are saying “if” you compete, can I ask what might prevent you from competing in June?

Biggest factor is my dad. He has copd and is still in the hospital at this time. He said they are going send him to rehab so that is good news! I live out in BFE and will have to go stay over night to make the meet. I worry about leaving my mom to take care of him and my son by herself.
My son is almost 13 and plenty big enough to help her, but he is autistic.
Hopefully the rehab will get him back on track! Last time it helped tremendously.
I am usually pretty close by and can get home quickly if they need help.

I am sorry to hear about your dad, hope he recovers quickly. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate! Thinking good thoughts that you are able to achieve your goal of competing, will be following :slight_smile:

Thank you! It will happen when it’s time. I just need to keep training and trust the universe. Things don’t always happen when we want, they happen when it’s time. I’m just an impatient bitch…:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Just need to vent…

What on God’s green eatth made a nurse at the hospital think that I would want to “adult” before 9am on a Sunday morning?
To make life and death decisions BEFORE I even finished my pot of coffee!
Really?

Yes, I know my dad has COPD. I know why I took to the hospital. Duh! Yes, I know he ia dying. This is not something new. And NO I am not ready to call hospice! Not yet! I find hard to believe that when I took him to the hospital he was able to get up and walk, and I took him to the hospital, now he can’t! Maybe, just maybe, there is some failure on your end. Grrrrr! And maybe if you would stop and listen to him you may get better results.

Goes right along with my best friend’s treatment. Only took them five months and him falling and fracturing his neck in two places to figure out he has prostrate cancer. Which is infinitely better than the initial diagnosis of bone cancer.

Now there is a real good possibility that both of them will be in a nursing home.

My patience is wearing thin. Real fucking thin!

On a happy note… today is Jed’s 13th birthday! Thirteen years ago we didn’t know if he would be with us. And here he is! The greatest gift from God ever! I am thankful everyday He let him stay with us.

It needa to warm up so I can go deadlift amd burn off some of this crazy!!!
