Thanks! The roofers called out today so now we wait. The wind is really gusting today so I am thinking it’s just a weather delay.

The roofers are supposed to show up today. We will see. The wind is still gusting so I am expecting slow progress on their part.

I do a bit of roofing myself, and wind can affect our day for sure but it depends. Is your roof steep?
I find heat to be more of a factor than wind at times

No, it’s actually a simple roof. Straight cuts, no dormers etc. They got the patio done today but the wind wasn’t nearly as bad as they forecast.

For YEARS, Friday was my deadlift day. I’m just now starting to feel good about deadlifting earlier in the week :joy:

Why does Friday not feel like a deadlifting day to you?

Because Saturday has always been deadlift day. I moved it to Friday so I would have more time recover for squats on Monday. Screw squats. Saturday will be DL day! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Mission complete! Big ass pile of metal roofing secure.

This was way harder than it should have been. I have never seen so much butyl rubber on a metal roof. Every piece was stuck together and have to be pulled apart. On the first day the wind whipped one of the 28 ft pieces as I was cutting it with the tin snips and body slammed me in the ground, bruised my thumb up purdy good. That made for a terrific next two days. Nothing like trying to cut and load tin with only one thumb

Sunburned, wind whipped, bruised and scraped up still feel blessed for this amazing gift! So damn happy!

Those sheets truly are a blessing. I’m glad you were able to get them, despite working around the rubber and your beaten-up thumb!
