I think it’s good now. I will run by tractor supply and grab a couple rolls of coban. That will fix it right up!

They are predicting 11° this weekend. It will be in the single digits where I am. Now I am scrambling to get things ready. I know it will only last a couple days but it only takes one freeze to wipe out a greenhouse full of plants. Damn it! Y’all need to keep that crap up north

There was a lot of freezing rain in Pittsburgh

Freezing rain+lack of boots = frozen, numb feet
… on the bright side, numb = no pain :joy:

Freezing rain is no fun. It bring back some memories of the ice storm.

I don’t think we are supposed to be making crunchy sounds when we walk in my part of Texas.

The path to mom’s

The little road that washed out during the 100 flood two years ago.

And MANY more. What a freaking mess!

Good to see you’re surviving. Fingers crossed for your plants.

…I’m not sure if I’d be tough enough to survive in Texas…hah.

Can you bring the plants into the house for a couple of days? I am counting on strawberries ya know !

I wouldn’t hold my breath for strawberries. I planted them in the garden and they are covered in ice. Older plants would be okay but these little guys may not make it. Time will tell.
I brought three trays of tomatoes inside. (The harder to find seeds).

The snow 'n cold finally made it west. How’re things for you now?

They did get the power back on so that is a plus!
They are predicting 100% chance of snow, 5°F up from -1, and wind chills at -20.

The phones were out for a brief time yesterday but they got it resolved in few hours. Yay!

All the ice is still on the trees because temps haven’t been above freezing for 3 days. Strong winds and more accumulation sounds like a really deal right now. All we can do is wait and see. The storm is supposed to be in our area around 6-7 pm.

All that deadlifting paid off because I packed the cast iron wood heater in the house yesterday with no problem…lol working on getting the stove pipe hooked up now. Ran to town yesterday and got some groceries and more propane. Just in case.
