Getting equipment for home training has become ridiculously hard (and expensive) on this side of the pond since covid hit us. I take it, that it is also a problem in the US?
Yep. The price had doubled. What was going for $1/ lb is $2 now. I’m thinking next year there will be some great bargains!

Broke the “new” DB down, dug out my solid metal, nicely knurled, shorty DB handles. Mucho bueno.
Didn’t take into account the weight of the bars and collars so they ended up a little too heavy for OH pressing, but I’m getting there!
And apparently the bottom of toy box is where old resistance bands go to die… lol. Somebody should straighten that up.

But yeah, I actually got a can of paint today. They didn’t have any steel brushes so I’ll have to go to another store for that. Since it’s going to be a 1,000 degrees all week I may get one painted.

Thanks guys! @TriednTrue @dagill2 @punnyguy It’s been a long time in the making. Now I need to come up with something to get 5lbs by the first of the year.
Might do the Kroc bench program since I am going with his squat and deadlift program. May just need to make it a clean sweep.

Yep! As far as I can or until it tries to kill me. Which ever comes first. It doesn’t call for a deload so, at some point I may need to but I will burn the bridge when I get there.

10 sets, sure. 10 reps, not so much. LOL. Do you know what a “Fire Chicken” is? It’s the term the guys working at the assembly plant at GM used to refer to the hood decal on the Firebirds and Trans Ams. When you’re done, you’ll be Fire Chicken instead of Chicken Little.
Luckily the most it calls for is 10 sets of 5 reps. Fire Chicken does have a nice ring to it though! Kinda like a dysfunction Phoenix.
