Ha ha, I’m not denying that, he is not coming across too well when interacting with others. But his methodologys work very well for me, right and wrong are not terms I would use when talking about training, too many variables, people are all different…different neurotypes etc…lol.

I have been unseriously entertaining the idea as well, but my hands are already calloused AF. I bet @Frank_C has some kind of crazy claw hands made out of dinosaur skin.

Nah. Just regular hands with calluses. I’m 6’5" so my hands are bigger than average. And my grip sucks. I don’t like mixed grip so I use straps for anything over 350.

I don’t know your measurements exactly, but I want to say that we are very similar in having long arms. Have you measured your wingspan compared to your height?

Shoulder stuff is so very different and difficult to do. I have to drop the wt way down, and even then much shorter rom feel so much better. All fancy delt stuff or laterals I need very very little wt - like the pink baby dumbells to do do what I think they are supposed to do with out hurting or aggravating things.

Things we know…
The goal is to pull 300

Going to take a crack at the Daily Dose DL program with some Meadows back and shoulder work

I want to keep practicing on the power cleans, it’s a “point thing” now

I want to keep the Push Press in the mix because I am actually making some progress in that dept

I need to add some direct glute/hamstring work to help with the primary goal.

Also need to add direct core work back in the mix

I think I also need to work on grip strength because I am too dumb to learn how to use the straps properly. Thinking trap bar carries it the weather allows

I am just going to take next week to test my max on DL and get things straightened up in my gym and just have fun before I start on the new program.

Now I just need to put it all together.

I have Wendlers straps. They don’t offer as much help with the grip but they’re easier to use correctly compared to longer versions.

Devils advocate: if your push press is getting stronger but your press isn’t, are you getting stronger or just more skilled?

@dagill2 Nope! @mortdk is right, I am getting stronger. My 1rm is 70, which I haven’t seen in a couple of years. I am fairly confident I can hit it for 1rm now. May just have to see next week :wink:

My bench is a hopeless piece of shit that just doesn’t want to cooperate.
My left arm does some wonky shit and the right one just can’t compensate.

I will take a look a the Kroc program when I get home.
