Right Protein?

Figure this one out. Two weeks ago in issue 117 I believe, there was an analysis of proteins. The result was that a combination of Whey and Casein was the best. Then, I read the following in an ad on NitroTech:

“The truth of the matter is that Casein is incredibly cheap when compared to many other protein sources. Casein is even inferior to soy isolate in terms of nitrogen retention. Unscrupulous supplement companies would have no qualms about putting a cheaper protein source such as Casein in their product just so they could elevate profits. You may decide to stay away from any product containing Casein”

What’s the scoop. I assume the aforementioned quote is bullshit. Anyone have any ideas. I just bought 10lbs of a 60-40 whey-casein mix from the Protein Factory.

I have training for over 20 years and science discovers new things all the time. What they are saying is something that was said over 5 years ago. The newest science shows that casein and whey combined is the best for mass. So, while it may be so, that casein alone is not that good, casein/whey is. If there are no references (that are up to date) then don’t believe it.

TEK,Bodz—Thanks. Thats what I figured, but it never hurts to ask.
