But before it switched to the T-Cell type group, there was group of us that were really starting to get to know each other and click well. We had a couple total newbs, a fucking awesome dude with one testicle, I’m starting to get near the end of my newbness and a couple intermediate guys, one with advanced numbers.
Don’t take not getting invited personal, you just weren’t active in the threads is all.

i must just be a little slow because i just noticed it yesterday. I saw the “groups” at the top of the screen and clicked on it. I went to the Brotherhood of Iron group and attempted to post and was denied.

curls have started to grow on me again. i have this grand plan to work up to doing the 100’s for pretty strict preacher curls. the 85’s didn’t feel bad at all… benefits of short arms i guess.
i do the rack pulls as an overall warmup. i’m not doing many reps and they don’t take a lot out of me with the limited ROM.

conditioning work- nothing like picking heavy shit up in almost 100 degree weather and 100 percent humidity. it will definitely put hair on your chest.
anyway, last week we started using sandbags for the first time. we worked up to 150lber, getting it to the lap and then shouldering it and finally climbing this really steep hill. this week we started with a 100lber, then the 150lber. we then tried the 200lber. I never thought i would say this but my arms started aching from doing the heavy preacher curls on thursday. time to drop back on weight on biceps and hit higher reps. I was able to get the bag to my lap, but my arms were aching too much to sling the damn thing up and over my shoulder. hopefully next week.
we then moved on to walking lunges across the football field with the 100lb vest.
after that we did backwards sled drags across the field.
we then finished with tire throws across the field.
level of conditioning is constantely improving. it might be time to up it a notch and start timing ourselves during this crap.
i NEED to get that 200lb sand bag shouldered…
bench night- i wanted to go heavy tonight but my arms are STILL aching. i worked up to 465 on reverse grip and i lost it back over my face. my biceps are too trashed. as a result, i lowered the weight and went for some reps.

thanks hoss. my short term goals right now are to get my front squat into the weight PR range and hit a 500lb reverse grip bench.
That front squat is insane. I still don’t understand how you are not sweating your ass off wearing pants and a long sleeve. haha
I’m going to moving out of the area in a week or 2 but I will have a week of no work and I’ll be just getting ready to go and training. Cool if I drop in for one or 2 of your sessions that week? Still doing bench and skwats on mon/thu at 530?

it’s actually usually an ice box in our gym. i sweat at the drop of a hat. if i train in shorts and a tshirt, i quickly get soaked and then am freezing and tighten up while i’m lifting. with layers i sweat but everything stays warm and loose.
no problem at all. we sometimes switch days around but if you let me know ahead of time i’ll let you know what our plans are. drop me a PM and i’ll give you my cell phone number.

I’ve been focusing on beltless, narrower stance lately for quads…2 days ago got 345x5 like that. Best single with a belt, wide stance, is 475…I have a vid of it somewhere. It was about 5-6 weeks ago.
