You do have 23,600 views though… We don’t say much but we sure are interested.

Unless that is you just clicking refresh all night long.

Do you do the prowler/sled dragging thing?

musta been thinkin too hard

Motivational as always marauder. I won’t be able to make the meet in Fredericksburg due to my inability to get permission to skip a change of command on that day. It was pretty crushing to find that out. I’m looking at the SPF Battle in the Valley though. You going to that one? Keep on trucking.

Well i could spam your log a bit if you like! I’m a lurker and introvert by nature, so i hang out and observe, then put to use anything i learn when i train myself. I have put to use some of the things you’ve posted about, and i am in the process of trying more things in the future.

Keep at it Hoss.

Another lurker chiming in.

Oftentimes the problem is that you explain your methods so well that I am left no questions to ask. All the same, I appreciate the effort you put into filming and posting your workouts, and I check this thread before I lift to get inspired for the workout.

After all, weight is nothing but a number, right?

i actually didn’t notice the views.

i have a sled that i use on occasion. my favorite GPP is my weighted vest. i have a 100lb vest that i wear when i walk the dog and go hiking. i also have a 3 1/2 year old daughter that likes to ride on my shoulders. when it’s all said and done, i’m usually hiking with 400lbs of total weight while holding back my 100lb chesepeake bay retriever.

i appreciate the support Hoss. More people should lurk and learn. That’s what i do most of the time when i’m not posting my training.

I echo countingbeans sentiments. I check this thread, and most of your other ones, pretty often. This is mostly because you actually post videos, and are in all cases helpfull to those who have questions. Your videos are a gold mine of information in and of themselves. I think a lot of the reason why people are hesitent to post here is that we don’t want to clutter things up with the useless bull shit that fills most of the other threads on the forums.

As far as more activity/questions/comments go, are you looking for others to post vids as well to add to the thread/threads you have going? I ask this because I think its one of the reasons your threads don’t turn into the no holds barred shit storms that others do. There is actual real world experiance going on here. Many other threads are rather lacking this.

thanks for all the kind words.

i post my training in hopes that folks find it helpful in some respect. i just want people to know that you can ask as any questions they may have. i’m here to help.

i really wish there was more actual training, talk of training and competing in bodybuilding and powerlifting on the forums. I have zero interest in getting in the middle of all the pissing matches that go on. if it’s not going to make me better or someone else better at lifting, then i have no interest in it. unfortunately i feel that many people come to the forums for the drama. i find it funny that many of the veteran posters avoid my threads like the plague:)

again…thanks for the kind words i really appreciate it.

Come on now, I can’t post in here every day… People probably end up thinking that I like you or something.

Besides, thinking of new insults to throw at you is strenuous exercise…
I can’t recover if I do more than 2 HIIT sessions per week, and thinking counts as such.

I’m rooting for you to get that 500x20 squat… That’s something I have no hope of achieving. Should have kept on squatting for high reps after DC I guess, but yeah.

I have zero endurance… Time to start working on that.

i was starting to think you didn’t love me anymore CC. everyone knows that insults= man love. you aren’t fooling anyone:)

i’ll hit those numbers or die trying. it’s all about conditioning for me. the strength i have. the set i did this past week against bands was easy, weight wise. after 6 reps though, i was getting gassed and the lactic acid was setting in. it will just take some time to get used to the reps again.

zero endurance… you and me both.

Count me in with that one. You and Jim Wendler were the two people that inspired me to get into powerlifting (well not to compete, but to train like one).

Thanks MM

Lactic acid buildup getting too high after 6 reps, that me made laugh.

Then my forearms started burning from typing more than a 3 words, so yeah, touche Jesus.

My lower rep strength has gone way up in the last 2 years, but anything over 8 reps has stayed almost the same… Mostly because I keel over dead if I try to do more…

Here’s one to brighten your day: I used to do incline offset curls during my DC days for 15-30 reps rest-paused (so like 15+9+4)… I recently tried just hitting a 12 rep set with something like 60-70 percent of my old working weight and not only did it hurt like hell, I started feeling weak as shit after 8-9 reps… Literally couldn’t bend my elbows anymore after that, what the hell?

Burned all the way to the shoulders… Those were just goddamn curls!

Haven’t done much back squatting in a while because it used to bother the rear part of my shoulders (got posterior tightness or something, and that would also fuck up all my pressing so I just ditched the squats)… All front-squatting and hack machine plus sumo DL’s for 2 years now.

So trying to squat again for real a few days ago my shoulders felt fine (wrists hated it of course, forgot my wraps because I hadn’t needed them in ages), but I must have been standing on an invisible bosu ball because I was wobbly as fuck… Knees moving around like crazy, couldn’t find the right stance etc…

Never managed more than 4-5 reps per set before I got winded haha

Maybe I need to try some of Alhpa (the guy, not the t-cell) 's barbell complexes for a bit… I hate cardio.

Does your beard increase your awesomeness? I have heard Wendler talk about this.
