They should be looked at as ‘stripes’ (pun intended).
I have stretchmarks on various regions of my upper and lower body, but do I care?
Nah, son.
I know they came via eating and growing from putting those hours in the gym.
They didn’t occur through my being a fat slob or being a chick without enough sense to use contraception. Thus, I have absolutely no shame in having them because they came about as a result of my giving a fuck about my body.
You should adopt that perspective.
…plus who the fuck is going to say shit to me about them?

I had a lot of very pronounced marks when I first started training. I tried the whole cocoa butter and vitamin E thing, but in hindsight they didn’t do much other than make me stink. Over the years though, they’ve just faded on their own. Now, unless you honestly look for them, they don’t stand out anymore (they’re much closer to a whitish shade than the original red/pink).
like everyone else has said they will fade over time. I have a pretty big one on my left pec/armpit that people always think is from surgery… but now its starting to fade and isn’t as red/pink anymore and isnt as noticeable. I’m just planning on getting big enough so that people who look at me notice how big I am and dont even see the stretch marks.
im glad i found this topic. i also have some fairly deep purple stretch marks inside my arm pits. i just bought ‘bio oil’ apperently helps with the appearance of stretch marks. so what im going to do is track the stretch marks over a few months and take pics, basically review this product. its newer and i have high hopes by the summer my battle wounds will be a little less vissable. of corse i could tan but im a student and am broke so i figured ill try this and let people know if its worth it or not. the product says no less than a month for results. its applied twice daily. if anyone has used this and im just walking down a shit path let me know.

Are you done growing? If not why even waste money on such a product? that takes months to work. Are you planning on staying the same size for months?
^^I don’t know about this product in particular, but some of them claim to prevent stretch marks and I know some pregnant women have sworn by using the creams/lotions and come out without stretch marks so if that is actually true then it would make sense to use it all the time.
I don’t believe any product will get rid of stretch marks but I suppose they might reduce the appearance of them.

There ya go! -lol. Even if these products worked (and I have serious doubts in most cases), what makes you think you won’t get more… I think the answer is to not worry about 'em.
mine are from having kids… NOTHING really helps i did it all while pregnant and afterwards
so save your money… IF they are red/purple you have more of a chance in helping them look a little better
mederma scar cream helps … i think either you have good stretchy skin or not!!
even though i hate the stretch marks i have… they are SO worth each one
Those aren’t bad at all. Mine are about the same width, but much longer in length and I have multiple ones going. They are signs of progress and there really isn’t much you can do about it.
If you want to take the time, you can rub Vitamin E oils or Shea butter, but I don’t really think it’s going to make a difference.

Used it religiously for a month or two, did absolutely nothing.
