Revolution is My Name

Court

do you have allergies- not food, pollen, dust etc?

I had them for years, before I found out- they were more mild when they started
and they kills my appetite every spring

kmc

sounds like everything is in place, Court!

Do you feel like your raw bench has gotten better since training it twice a week? Your shirted bench doesn’t seem to be suffering.

I think you’re going to kill it at this meet. I can’t wait to watch the videos. Make sure to get a mean, pushy person to record them for you. The best videos are taken by someone who isn’t afraid to tell people to get the hell out of the way.

Ummmm no… my raw bench still licks donkey balls. I managed to get 135 a few inches off my chest my last really good bench day (I shirted after). I was just in that zone and only had 2 of the guys in the gym.

I guess I’m finding that my raw bench under my max is getting easier, but I haven’t exactly gone just for a raw max. I’m keeping my raw benching light enough that I’m not sore/tired the next day, it’s just to grease the groove.

Hopefully Ouro will still volunteer to be my videographer

Nope. I had allergies tested in the fall and was fine with dust, pollen, etc.

My appetite is still there, but I’m used to only eating like 2000-2300 calories so trying to eat more than that is killing me.

hey there!

i’m a total late comer to your log, but my god! i am MOST jealous and impressed with your lifts!! nice! i’m gunna have to read thru and see the progression because…yeah–i’m JEALOUS!

plus i noticed on one of your squat vids that we have the same form. i think its your vid, but do you hold your arms closer then normal? i do , and i’m not sure if its kosher or what, i’ve been told its fine and but also that it bad from various sources, but was wondering if you had any insight.

I used to grip the bar so the first knuckle of my thumb was at the edge of the kurling. Now I sort of spread my hands out and put my pinky on the ring and grab from there. I had to bring it out just a little bit because I was getting pain in my shoulders.

I find women and lighter men tend to hold the bar a little closer… I find it helps with maintaining bar position and keeping my entire back tight.

As for my progression, well looking back where I was 11 months ago, it’s kind of ridiculous. But I still want more and am not happy or even satisfied with where I am

I’m definitely expecting good videos then. She may even get the judges out of the way for a good shot.

Have you thought about what you are doing after this meet or are you too in the zone to think about such things?

I talked with Ddot about it a few weeks ago. I have an idea of what I’d like to work on, while MAINTAINING some PL lifting. I’m not discussing it until after the meet though. I’m quite in the zone these days.

Hey, I just skimmed over the beginning of your log…basically for about 1.5 months you were doing 6x4,once a week and then the last little bit you did 3x5…

Is that pretty much it?

I was doing legs twice a week…once strength (back squats 6x4 amongst other things) and once hypertrophy (front squats 4x10-12 amongst other things). I can’t find my excel file with anything 3x5. I know after I hit my 225 I did a spine deload for a while which is when I started really deadlifting.

I’ll see if I can find my log book at home (I’ve moved on from that first book) where I have it.

are you thinking of chilling on the pl i guess after your next meet? well that’s cool, you defientely have a strong base to utilize for other stuff. word up!

i’m on the other side of the spectrum theses days, was out of touch with the decent strenght training for a while and am just now getting my flow back.

those are excellent vids too!!! NICE!! :D!

What are you revolutionizing???

If your name is now Revolution, does that mean we should call you Rev?

No! I just have this meet and then will not be competing for the rest of this year. I’ll be moving to Cali in September so unless I find a meet there, it’ll just be training. All of this to be discussed after next weekend

I hate you.

It’s the name of a song that is my new pump me up for my heavy lifts. I heart Pantera.

You just went up, like, 50 points on my ‘cool chick’ list.

Pantera is superior lifting music. Adds 10# (or kilos, wtf ever) to your lifts easy.

oh i see!
