With the 170 I got it to within an inch of my chest and instead of being patient, I tried to force it which meant it hit a little lower than what would be ideal for the shirt. The guys said if I’m patient and bring it down to where it should I can get another 10-15lbs out of the shirt. As it was, I just grinded the 170 up. They said it would have been 3 whites still though.
Deadlift:
135x5x2 played with 2 different set ups
185x1x2 again, different set ups to get to the bar
Suit on, straps down:
225x1x2
Suit on, straps up:
275x1x1 I had trouble getting to the bar so the following were all done a different way, resulting in me holding my breath for 15-20 seconds before I pulled. I need to work on this set up ALL THE TIME
305x1x1 PB
315x1x1 PB
335x1x1 PB!
So I got a 35lb PB on my bench and a 35lb PB on my dead. After I pulled 315 they asked if I was done and I said no. After the 335 I dragged myself to take off my suit, then came back and literally collapsed on the floor while they talked around me. I saw splotches for a while and am still exhausted. I’m super pumped about my PRs. Apparently the Niagara guys carpooled today and were talking about how amazing I was (or something like that haha).
I’m super exhausted after today. It’s unreal how tiring just coaching is. I had Anita in flight 1 and Rugger in flight 2 so I was always busy. I crashed hard around 2nd deadlifts for Flight 1, but made it through.
I’m going to do some raw benching and some squatting in my suit tomorrow. I’m heading to Cali on Thursday - Sunday for my school welcome weekend so I’ll be in to train Sun/Tues/Wed this week. I won’t be back down to heavy squat or bench until the following weekend.
I’m 6 weeks out today and for sure have one of the Niagara guys to handle me, wrap me, dress me and do my numbers at the meet. Suh-weet!

Sunday afternoon at Goodlife. It was pretty quiet, but some good people were still there. Ddot was there and pissing me off though. He didn’t know when to stop today - yes, that’s right, you should have stopped.

I was just working on keeping tight and keeping my wrists tight. I have a tendency to flop my wrists back which gets me consistently yelled at by the Niagara guys.

Matty was there to spot me. I haven’t seen him in ages because he usually trains during the days. He was talking about how the first time he spotted me was for a tough single at 185. We had some laughs.
I also tried the bow knee wrap that the Niagara club has been using on me lately. It allows me to wrap them tighter and get them off super quickly. It also lets me wrap higher on my quads which is where I need it. All 3 sets were light and easy.
Don’t know what the hell I did, but I have a monster knot in my left quad right now. Freaking hurts!
Finished off with 20 minutes on the bike to loosen the legs.

Court was showing me how she arched like that. I’m trying to fix mine. When I tried it, I couldn’t get my legs back out the the front/side. The benches feel too low and my legs feel too long and they kind of get stuck backwards under my ears. I’m trying again tonight.
